Arnold Schwarzenegger is set to star and executively produce an untitled spy series bought by Netflix, which will also star Monica Barbaro.

Netflix has handed the task of creating an eight-episodic spy series to Skydance TV, and Arnold Schwarzenegger will pull a double duty as both the actor and the executive producer of this untitled project.

The father of five children, Arnold Schwarzenegger will make his debut into a scripted television show.

What is this Arnold Schwarzenegger and Monica Barbaro starrer TV show about?

The upcoming Nick Santaro directed spy series will focus around the father-daughter relationship of Arnold Schwarzenegger and the “Top Gun: Maverick” star, Monica Barbaro, whose character transforms when the two share a revelation that both of them had been working as CIA agents without the other knowing.

With the two questioning the bond they had, Arnold and Monica’s characters get a chance at redemption when both of them get assigned as each other’s partners.

Arnold has had quite a busy schedule, as he also appeared as a guest alongside other big Industry players like J.J. Abrams and the president of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige, at the “Big Screen Is Back” initiative.

The “Big Screen is Back” initiative was held in a theater in Los Angeles, which sought to bring cinephiles from the comfort of watching movies in their home back to the big theater screen as the pandemic is getting in control.

“We are back! We are back. Let’s chant that,” Arnold Schwarzenegger said during his speech at the AMC Century City theatre.

The same initiative had also previously appeared during the 2021 Academy Awards.

Kevin Feige also gave a speech addressing that his movies are meant to be watched together with other Marvel Fans on a big screen. “Marvel movies are made to be seen on the big screen. It’s by far the best way to see a Marvel movie and in my opinion, any film.” 

While the Star Wars’ director J.J. abrams also took the mic to share his love for the theatre-going experience.

 “It is truly great to be back in a movie theater,” Abrams said. “Personally, some of my absolute best life experiences happened in rooms like this. I think it will come back in a roaring way so I’ll see you at the movies.”
