Brian Austin Green and Sharna Burgess have been dating for almost a year after the former split from wife Megan Fox in 2020, and their relationship seems to be going strong. Green joined DWTS for its milestone 30th season and the couple has been dancing away.
For their recent performance, the couple was inspired by their recent date night.
Brian Green Austin, 48, and Sharna Burgess, 36, visited the Original Immersive Van Gogh Exhibit in Los Angeles, which is designed and conceived by Massimiliano Siccardi with a soundtrack by Luca Longobardi. The exhibition brings Dutch painter Vincent Van Gogh’s iconic artwork to life, including The Starry Night and Sunflowers.
Green and Burgess will dance to “Say You Won’t Let Go” by James Arthur, and will bring themes and elements of the art show into the ballroom for their performance.
“It’s a really amazing song, it just brings up that feeling of true connection and love with somebody,” Green said of their song “Say You Won’t Let Go” during the show.
“So Sharna and I have been together for almost a year. It’s been kind of a storybook relationship,” he added. “Just being there with her, feeling the emotions that came up it was great inspiration for what we’re going to perform.” Burgess shared, “It’s been an incredible 11 months of showing a person truly who I am. Complete vulnerability with each other and that’s new for me.”
Speaking about him being a part of the show, Green told cameras during the season premiere last week, “I’m doing Dancing with the Stars because of my girlfriend Sharna.” While Burgess added, “I am unbelievably excited to share with him something I love so deeply.”
Green and Burgess performed a foxtrot to “Skate” by Bruno Mars, Anderson .Paak and Silk Sonic for their first performance. It earned them a score of 24 out of 40. After the performance, the pair told Access Hollywood that competing on the series together has proved to be the ultimate relationship test.
“It is so far. I mean, this is all new,” said the Beverly Hills, 90210 alum said. “You know, we haven’t ever been in as stressful as a situation as this can become.”
While the couple is dancing their days out, they took a break to host an “awesome” birthday party for the 48-year-old Beverly Hills, 902010 alum’s son, Noah, who he shares with Megan Fox.
“We had an awesome birthday party yesterday,” the DWTS professional dancer, 36, explained on her Instagram Stories on Sunday, September 26. “That was very good. Our photos are wonderful. We really did have awesome photos. We had a photo booth at the party.”
Upon that Green clarified that “this was Noah’s birthday party [and] wasn’t our birthday,” before noting he’s “going to suck on Monday” during the DWTS live show, but “the party was super fun.”
“It was Noah’s 9th birthday yesterday and we did a Titanic–themed party because Noah’s obsessed with Titanic and we also had a photo booth, they were awesome,” Green recalled as the couple drove to their rehearsal for the ABC competition series. “The kids had an amazing time. We had an awesome time with the photos too, and Noah had a great time, which is the best. So it was beautiful and it was worth it, but we have some catch-up to do today [with the dance routine].”
