While the 2020’s Grammys began on a somber note as the artists and performers remember in unison the wonder that star basketball player Kobe Bryant was, it also carried moments of romance and sheer passion. Whether it was the couple, Gwen Stefani And Blake Shelton, raising the temperature with their love-is-in-the-air performance, Jonas brothers being cheered on by their wives in the audience or Lizzo’s electric presence on-stage, it was indeed the grandness one would expect from the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards!
Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton set the stage on fire with the smoldering romantic looks they shared during their performance
The 2020 Grammys were set ablaze with romantic vibes as an adorable couple of singers Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton blew the listeners away with their adoring performance on “No One But You.”
“I don’t wanna live without you / I don’t wanna even breathe / I don’t wanna dream about you / Wanna wake up with you next to me,” the couple sang as they held hands and gazed longingly at each other. “I don’t wanna go down any other road now / I don’t wanna love nobody but you / Lookin’ in your eyes now, if I had to die now / I don’t wanna love nobody but you.”
Their performance ended with Blake bowing down to his lady, with the duo embracing each other for a kiss. Featured on Shelton’s compilation album Fully Loaded: God’s Country Nobody But You marks the couple’s third collaboration.
The Jonas Brothers gave a charged performance, complete with some “Aww” moments with their wives
While the Jonas Brothers (Nick, Joe, and Kevin) did lose out to Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus’s “Old Town Road”, their “golden” performance at the 2020 Grammys was rousing and electric. The trio entered the stage, standing in a circle on a rotating platform.
With Kevin strumming an acoustic guitar, the Jonas brothers opened with their brand new love ballad “Five More Minutes”, looked directly at their wives Sophie Turner, Priyanka Chopra, and Danielle Jonas, as they were begging, to “give me five more minutes with you.”
As the brothers walked up to the stage during their performance, Kevin even leaned down to give his wife Danielle a kiss.
The brothers then launched into their latest single “What a Man Gotta Do” as they were joined on stage by dancers, who performed the Hand Jive from Grease, while the trio’s wives cheered wildly from the audience.
Lizzo was practically the Queen who reigned over the 2020 Grammys
Looking like a dream in a crystal-studded black, off-shoulder gown, Lizzo ruled the stage at the 2020 Grammys with her song performances of her latest album “Cuz I Love You” as well as 2019’s hot 100 chart-topper, her hit single “Truth Hurts”, which also featured in the Netflix film Someone Great.
“Tonight is for Kobe!” she said, dedicating her performance to the late Kobe Bryant as she began her album’s title track “Cuz I Love You”, complete with orchestra. As she switched to her chart-topping hit “Truth Hurts,” she joined the dancers as she belted out a spirited rendition of her song. She ended her performance with a flute solo, the “Sasha Flute”, which has been a rather social media-famous instrument.
