Adam Levine will never be coming back on The Voice as one of the coaches, as he marked out the slim chance of his comeback by officially addressing it.
The Maroon 5 lead, Adam Levine conducted a QnA on his official Instagram page via stories on Monday, where one of his fans asked whether the 41-year-old “Girls like you” singer will ever “Come back to the Voice?” to which he replied with the simple yet heart-breaking term in all caps “NO THANK YOU?”
This simple answer left his fans feeling down, as he crossed out the possibilities of him ever coming back as the charming coach on The Voice. Adam Levine joined the Voice back in 2011 when it debuted with its season 1 and remained as one of four coaches for 16 consecutive seasons before deciding to drop out of the gig, ahead of its season 17 and was replaced by Nick Jonas for a year and now the veteran Coach, Gwen Stefani will be coming back in his seat in the next season and will sit next to her boyfriend, coach and country music legend, Blake Shelton.
Adam Levine solidified his departure when he announced on his Instagram back in May 2019 where he posted a picture of the 2012 cover of the Rolling Stones where he posed alongside his fellow coaches, CeeLo Green, Christina Aguilera, and Blake Shelton, along with a long message stating “[The Voice] went on to be a life shaping experience that will be close to my heart forever. Thank you NBC for signing me up. I am truly honored to have been a part of something I’ll always cherish for the rest of my life. Thank you to every single coach I ever sat in those chairs with. That is [a] shared experience that is singularly ours. We have that for life. Thank you to everyone who supported this long strange and amazing left turn into a place I never thought I’d go.”
To cheer up fans, it seems Adam Levine has not forgotten his old rival, Blake Shelton as he poked fun at him.
Adam Levine and Blake Shelton Rivalry
Adam Levine and Blake Shelton share a frenemy relationship quite similar to that of Matt Damon and Jimmy Kimmel’s odd friendship, and it seems although Adam has left The Voice, he hasn’t forgotten Blake as he teased him in the same QnA session. When one of the fans asked “Did you miss Blake on The Voice last season?” to which he replied, “Blake who?”
And if that wasn’t enough, he continued with the fun when another fan asked him “Which of Blake‘s album is your favorite?” and his response was “Who is this Blake you speak of?”
