Adele is back in the UK as she gets closer to finishing her highly anticipated fourth album.
Lately, the singer had been in the US, spending the first lockdown at her luxurious mansion in LA. She made her musical comeback on the New York comedy TV show, Saturday Night Live, where she hosted the gig.
However, she is back in London to put the finishing touches on her new album. Back in town, the Oscar-winning singer was spotted dining with a friend at celebrity hotspot Chiltern Firehouse this week.
A source told The Sun, “Adele wants to lay low while she’s here, which is easy with shades and a face mask. People don’t recognize her like they used to anyway. She’s not been able to release new music yet and she’s totally focused on that and getting each track just right.
Following her appearance as the US show’s guest host, Adele, taking to Instagram shared a lengthy post thanking Saturday Night Live. At the end of the caption, she signed off by saying, “I’m going back to my cave now to be the (single) cat lady that I am! Peace out till next year.”
The post clearly suggested that she won’t be releasing her new record until at least 2021.
During the show, she told the audience,”My album’s not finished. I’d rather put on some wigs …have a glass of wine or six and just see what happens.”
During her appearance at the show, Adele played a medley of songs during one of the show’s sketches inspired by the ABC dating series –The Bachelor. She performed three of her top-charting hits which included, ‘When We Were Young’, ‘Hello’ and ‘Rolling In The Deep’.
Thanks to her appearance at SNL, Adele’s fans also got to see the much-loved singer’s jaw-dropping transformation, her dramatic weight loss attributed to the Sirtfood Diet.
During her opening monologue, Adele jokingly giving credits to the pandemic said, “because of all the COVID restrictions and the travel bans, I had to travel light, and I could only bring half of me, and this is the half I chose.”
