Akshay Kumar Enters Forbes 100 Yet Again; Becomes The Only Indian To Feature On The List!

Akshay Kumar is rightly among the busiest actors around the globe. It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to tag him as a hit machine as most of his recent movies raked in moolah at the box office. Now, after churning out back-to-back successes, the Mission Mangal star has also found a place on the Forbes 100 highest-paid celebrities list of 2020 and more importantly, he is the only Indian celebrity to feature on the same.

International Khiladi Akshay Kumar Is At The 52nd Spot

The list of top 100 celebrities, including global personalities from various fields, has Akshay Kumar at the 52nd spot. Reportedly, Akshay Kumar’s total income in the period from June 2019 to May 2020 stood at around $48.5 Million (approximately Rs 366 crore). In the due course, he has overtaken many other global celebrities like Jennifer Lopez, Will Smith, Jackie Chan, Adam Sandler etc.

A Drop In The Ranking

Akshay Kumar who had found a place in Forbes 2019 top 100 as well has seen a dip in his ranking. In the list that was published last year, the superstar was placed at the 33rd spot and his earnings were around $65 million (approximately Rs 460 crore). However, it is being said that the coronavirus outbreak affected his income in 2020.

‘The End’ Turned Out To Be The Big Deal

Forbes claims that Akshay Kumar’s big deal with OTT platform Amazon Prime, for a series named The End, turned out to be the big earner for the actor. The End will mark the digital debut of Akshay Kumar and there are huge expectations from the project. According to reports, he earned around Rs 75 crore for this upcoming series. Along with that, the 52-year-old also has movies like Bell Bottom, Bachchan Pandey, Prithviraj, etc., in the line-up. Meanwhile, the magazine has also spoken highly about his philanthropic activities and cited that the Bollywood star donated around $4.5 for relief works related to coronavirus.

American media personality and model Kylie Jenner is leading the race in Forbes 100 2020 with an income of around $590 million (approximately Rs 4453 crore). Popular singer Kanye West is at the second position. Roger Federer, who has been ranked third, is the highest-paid sports personality. Christiano Ronaldo, at the fifth spot, is the topper among footballers and he is followed by Lionel Messi. Tyler Perry, Neymar, Howard Stern, Lebron James, Dwayne Johnson etc., are the others on the top 10 list.
