It was only two months ago that Demi Lovato and beau Max Ehrich got engaged and it seems like there’s trouble in paradise.
Speculation about their split has been doing the rounds since a while now and sources close to the couple divulged a few details. An insider told PageSix that Lovato, 28, and Ehrich, 29, are on the brink of a breakup. “It’s not over yet,” they said, “but it’s on its way there.”
How the rumour of Demi Lovato and Max Ehrich’s split started
The rumour that Demi Lovato and Max Ehrich have called it quits started after Demi’s bodyguard and sister both unfollowed Max on Instagram.
This came to light through a series of tweets made on Thursday, September 24.
Further, fans also noticed how the singer had not “liked” any recent post of her fiancé. This raised quite a few eyebrows, since Demi almost always hit like on his social media posts.
The speculation of their break-up also comes just a week after Demi Lovato lashed out at people for circulating fake screenshots of her beau.
Max Ehrich came under the fire when some of his old tweets about Selena Gomez were resurfaced. A tweet from 2010 apparently read, “Hahaha selena gomez and demi are cute togueter [sic] but boy if you think demi is prettier…you’re WRONG!”
Before it was too late, Demi Lovato addressed the issue on her Instagram Stories. “It’s really sad when people FAKE images to put women against each other,” she wrote. “If women have conflict that’s between them NOT YOU.”
Demi Lovato’s inner circle is also worried about Max Ehrich
Max was naturally “upset” following the entire social media controversy, E! News reported.
“She is head over heels for Max and doesn’t want to be heartbroken,” the source told the entertainment portal. “She truly cares about Max and wants to think his intentions are genuine.”
Her close friends, however, are not too sure about him. “People close to Demi have expressed that they are worried and are hesitant about Max.”
Demi Lovato and Max Ehrich reportedly started dating in March and he popped the question to her in July. They had been quarantining and spending a lot of time together during the lockdown.
