Ariana Grande Makes A ‘Starry’ Entrance In ‘The Voice Season 21’

New Coach Alert!

Ariana Grande sings ‘Hopelessly Devoted to You’ as she makes her ‘The Voice’ debut

Ariana Grande has finally made her debut as a judge on NBC’s ‘The Voice’ season 21, which will premiere in September this year. The 28-year-old singer has made a beautiful entrance in the show with her fellow coaches, Blake Shelton, John Legend, and Kelly Clarkson through the latest promo teaser of this season, which was released on Tuesday. The teaser shows the trio, Blake, John, and Kelly sitting around a campfire as they enjoy each other’s company and the view around them. “Look at that amazing star over there!” Blake exclaims as he points towards the very beautiful Ariana Grande, sitting on a crecent moon in a gorgeous silver mini dress.

The ‘God Is A Woman’ singer then joins the group and is told by John and Kelly to sing a song, as it’s a tradition for every new coach joining the show. That’s when you will get to hear the mesmerizing voice of Ariana Grande on the very first teaser of The Voice season 21. The Grammy-winning singer interests her fellow colleagues by singing Olivia Newton-John’s “Hopelessly Devoted to You,” from the 1978 classic Grease, which even made host Carson Daly dance on the melody.

Well, that is how Ariana Grande entered the world-famous singing competition, The Voice, however, this is not brand new news. Back in March, Grande revealed in a Tweet that she will soon be joining the show for its 21st season and replacing singer Nick Jonas. “Surprise! I am beyond thrilled, honored [and] excited to be joining Kelly Clarkson, John Legend, and Blake Shelton next season — Season 21 of The Voice,” she wrote. “Nick Jonas, we will miss you!”

In a press statement, the ‘Positions’ singer also revealed that she has been a fan of this show for a very long time. “I have been a huge fan of the show for such a long time. I can’t wait to go head-to-head with the incredible coaches, get to know these new artists, and help to take their craft to the next level,” she said.

Jenny Groom, the EVP of Unscripted Content for NBCUniversal Television and Streaming also shared her thoughts on Ariana Grande joining The Voice. “As an undeniable force in pop music, Ariana’s inimitable success in the music industry is extraordinary,” she said. We were thrilled to learn that she is a true fan of The Voice and know that this enthusiasm will add to her impact as a dynamic coach.” Before Ariana, the judge’s red seat has been occupied by various other celebs such as Adam Levine, Nick Jonas, Christina Aguilera, Gwen Stefani, CeeLo Green, Shakira, Usher, Pharrell Williams, Miley Cyrus, Alicia Keys, and Jennifer Hudson.

However, not just the NBC representatives, but the coaches are happy too about sharing their season with Grande.

During a virtual Q&A in April, singers Blake Shelton and John Legend expressed their thoughts on their new fellow coach. “I’m excited about Ariana joining the show because it’s somebody new for me to beat,” Blake joked. “I’m tired of beating John every season — and Nick.” Whereas, Legend said, “Ariana is one of the most gifted artists in our business today. She is a huge, chart-topping artist with amazing vocal skills. I think so many of our fans out there truly love her, and I think she’s going to bring additional fans to the show, a different audience to the show, and I think it’s going to be great for all of us.” Here’s hoping for yet another nail-biting competition this year.
