Benjamin Keough’s girlfriend, Diana Pinto, opened up about his death for the first time as she honoured him in an Instagram post.
The news of Benjamin Keough’s death by suicide came on July 12. Benjamin, the son of Lisa Marie Presley and the only grandson of music icon Elvis Presley, ended his life at the age of 27.
On July 19, Diana Pinto shared a string of candid photos of Benjamin and penned a heartfelt tribute to her late boyfriend.
“To the most beautiful boy I have ever seen,” she began her caption.
“I promise to always honor you on Fancy Fridays. Your laugh is heard all over the world now. You made me the luckiest girl in the world, to have you, to hold you, to love you and to be loved by you are the only things that have ever mattered.”
“You are my whole world and my whole life, you live with me now every day in my heart, in my soul and in my mind,” she continued.
She went on to call him her “best friend” and “travel partner”, adding that she will always cherish the times they spent together.
“Every second of every day I think of you, now I know the true meaning of grief. Please give me strength to keep going because I don’t know how I’m supposed to do this life without you.”
Diana Pinto and Benjamin Keough began dating around September 2017, when Pinto posted a photo of the two of them together on social media.
In addition to Benjamin Keough’s girlfriend, his sister and actress Riley Keough also took to Instagram to express her grief.
“Mornings are the hardest. I forget you’re gone. I can’t cry because of the fear that I will never stop. A pain that’s new to me,” she wrote.
Lisa Marie Presley is yet to make a public comment on son Benjamin Keough’s death. However, her rep told PEOPLE that she is “inconsolable and beyond devastated”.
Apart from Benjamin and Riley, Lisa is also mother to 11-year-old twin daughters. The rep added that the star is trying to stay strong in the midst of this trauma for her three daughters.
