Blake Lively And Ryan Reynolds’ Valentine’s day wishes were just another opportunity for the couple to troll each other
Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds’ Valentine’s day plans may have been a bit different from the rest. The two put up social media posts on Sunday where they trolled each other on Instagram.
Blake Lively took to Instagram to wish husband Ryan Reynolds on Valentine’s day. She posted a video of the time he acted as her hairdresser, helping her dye her hair amid the coronavirus lockdown.
Blake Lively hilariously wrote, “That time I f*d my hairdresser,” along with the Valentine’s day post.
Ryan Reynolds had his own way of wishing his wife, saying, “My forever valentine for the foreseeable future.” In the sweet post he included a slow-motion video of Blake Lively having the time of her life while sledding. The actor also shared two photos of Blake Lively on his Instagram Story to mark the romantic holiday.
Just when we thought Ryan Reynolds may have, for once, put up a sweet post for his wife; the second photo that he uploaded of the two proved that Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds cannot go without trolling each other, and Valentine’s Day is no exception.
Recently, Ryan Reynolds celebrated the five year anniversary of his iconic character Deadpool. To mark the day, the actor dug out a hilarious letter from a fan and his reply that he forgot to send. In the unsent letter, he has confidently claimed his ‘second’ child would be his last.
Hysterically, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are parents to three children– James,6, Inez,4, and the youngest Betty, born in 2019 – three years after the letter was addressed.
‘Five years later, I’m still in awe of Deadpool fans,’ Ryan Reynolds captioned the post. ‘Hunter wrote me this letter after Deadpool came out and somehow my response never got mailed. Holds up. Mostly.’
In the original letter sent by a fan named Hunter, he had called Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool a ‘”laugh my a**” off movie.’ He expressed hopes for a sequel that wasn’t a “crappy second movie, like most sequels are.” The fan concluded his letter by asking how to be ‘more bada**’ like Ryan Reynolds, and explained he was writing to him for an English assignment in which he had to write a letter to someone he “admired”.
Ryan also shared his response to the letter, which was written in the most Ryan Reynolds way possible. He started off by writing that he appreciated how well-received Deadpool had been. But the ruse didn’t last long as he then joked about Deadpool, an R rated movie, being a part of Disney.
He continued the parody letter by suggesting being a ‘bada**’ by committing to one thing, like acting, and “not messing around with random business ventures like other celebs.” This was another hilariously written statement by the actor as he himself is the pitchman for Aviation Gin. Ending the letter, the Gin spokesman jokingly added that beer was ‘the only alcohol for me.’ Ryan Reynolds signed off the letter writing, ‘Stay on fleek!’, a now outdated slang.
It is clear that Ryan Reynolds cannot help but be hilarious to his fans or even his wife. But Blake Lively surely knows how to keep up. Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds’ Valentine’s day posts are enough proof of their unusually sweet way of expressing their love for each other.
Ryan Reynolds was previously married to Scarlett Johansson from 2008–2011. Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds began dating in 2011 after they starred together in The Green Lantern the year before.
