In an Instagram Story on Tuesday night, Blake Lively (who turned 34 on August 25) flaunted the sequin black and pink bag she received as a birthday gift from Chanel. The high-priced designer item was styled with baggy ripped jeans, grey Mickey Mouse-adorned sweatshirt, and white sneakers by the actress.
She captioned the mirror selfie, “Thank you for the birthday bag,” and tagged the label’s official Instagram account.
Blake Lively, who has three daughters with husband Ryan Reynolds: James, 6, Inez, 4, and Betty, 23 months, joked, “You really elevated my ‘toddler chic’ look.”
The actress also showed off her “early birthday present” from Louis Vuitton to her Instagram followers a few weeks ago, saying she was “in love” with her new bag. Lively is seen holding a red and white striped handbag with the label’s famous emblem imprinted in pale pink. The design also includes a gold “LV” hardware and a brown leather strap.
In the photo, Lively posed in a cropped T-shirt with a blanket wrapped around her waist, looking cosy and ready for bed. “My ‘in love’ face didn’t look as bored chic. So you get this. Also: Shout out to my fellow pantless friends running around their house until they grab a blanket and do the ‘towel treatment’ and act like that counts as clothes,” she wrote.
The Gossip Girl alum celebrated another trip around the sun in August with an epic slow-motion spin in the most twirl-worthy of gowns: a Teuta Matoshi gown with a corset bodice, cherry appliqué, and a tulle skirt with matching tie straps. She accessorised with red Christian Louboutin loafers and Lorraine Schwartz jewellery.
Lively uploaded an Instagram Story video with the caption “Birthday weekend,” which was set to the song “Cherry” by Louis Armstrong and The Mills Brothers.
Blake Lively’s impeccable style is no secret, as evidenced by all of her stunning Met Gala ensembles over the years. When she attended her first Met Gala in 2008, Blake wore a black gown with a strapless neckline by Ralph Lauren. At her most recent Met Gala in 2018, Blake wore a Versace gown that took up the entire Met steps. Blake’s style is defined by a feminine aesthetic. Whether it’s a skintight bodice, sequins or floral prints she can carry off any style.
