Brad Pitt’s Son Maddox Testifies Against Him In Angelina Jolie Custody Case

The case keeps getting bitterer

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s eldest son, Maddox Jolie-Pitt, has testified in court and it wasn’t in his father’s favor.

“Maddox has already given testimony as [an] adult in the ongoing custody dispute and it wasn’t very flattering toward Brad,” a source told Us Weekly.

The insider added how Maddox, 19, even wishes to remove ‘Pitt’ from his name but his mother doesn’t approve of the same. “He doesn’t use Pitt as his last name on documents that aren’t legal and instead uses Jolie,” they said. “Maddox wants to legally change his last name to Jolie, which Angelina has said she doesn’t support.”

Brad Pitt is fighting for 50/50 physical and legal custody of his six children with Angelina Jolie. But it seems like, his tough relationship with Maddox won’t help the cause.

It’s no news that Brad and Maddox’s relationship has been strained since years. In 2016, Brad Pitt was cleared of child abuse allegations made by Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services. The organisation interrogated him after an incident between him and Maddox on the family’s private plan.

Still, there have been no signs of the ice melting. It was reported in July 2020 that Pitt and Maddox’s relationship is practically “nonexistent”. They do not see or speak to each other.

In 2019, however, it was reported that Pitt considers his fall-out with Maddox to be a “tremendous loss”. “[But] his son hasn’t been receptive,” the reports further claimed.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s divorce case took a new turn this week

Earlier this week, Brad and Angelina’s divorce proceedings saw a major shake-up. The actress submitted new documents accusing the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood star of domestic violence.

The papers said she and her six children are willing to offer “proof and authority in support” of the claims.

Last year as well, Jolie shook up the custody battle by asking for removal of the judge presiding over it.

A source told Us Weekly that Jolie’s recent filing is nothing but an attempt to get back at the actor. Over the past four-and-a-half years, they said, Jolie has made a number of claims that have been “reviewed and not substantiated”. “The children have been used by Angelina to hurt Brad before and this is more of that behavior,” they added.
