Bradley Cooper is one of the most sought-after actor-directors currently. Having a super hit in his back pocket, A STAR IS BORN, he is all set to start shooting for the remake of the popular 1947 hit ‘Nightmare Alley’ in Boston. But the actor is in the news almost everyday for completely different reasons. Whether it is helping his mom with running errands, or picking up his daughter from school amidst a tight shooting schedule, he’s a doting, loving companion to all the people in his life.
Bradley Cooper always lends a helping hand
In a recent interview, Hollywood star Ben Affleck, who is a good friend of Bradley, talked about his fight with alcohol abuse.
He said, “There are things that I would love to go back and change… I have regrets. I made plenty of mistakes, some big, some small. I wish I could go back in time and change all kinds of things, but I can’t.” He went on to talk about how Robert Downey Jr. and Bradley Cooper helped him through the whole process and called them, “wonderful men”.
It sweet to see men helping out men
Men never really turn to their friends for ‘help’. At least that is exactly what they are taught. But now even such big stars are understanding that it is okay to be weak. It is okay to lose a step. Everybody makes mistakes. Everybody needs help at some point or the other, and people like Bradley Cooper are making it okay for everyone to live a happy, fulfilling life instead of hiding away their fears and insecurities.
It wasn’t an easy road for Cooper as well
The two-time Oscar nominee himself suffered from mental health issues and alcoholism at the age of 29. While most people in his position sink themselves deeper into addiction, Bradley realised early that this wasn’t the way to go. After getting help, he realised how happily each day went by and how important little moments are in his life.
Bradley is man goals!
He is a doting father, a superb son and a loving friend. On top of that, he’s absolutely majestic on screen, with powerful performances in movies like The Silver Linings Playbook and American Hustle. Looking back at his story, these performances surely carry a lot of him from the time Bradley was fighting his demons.
But he overcame them and cultivated beautiful art for all of us to be inspired by.
