After nearly ten years of marriage and 15 years since they have been together, actor Brian Austin Green, 46, and actress Megan Fox, 34, have decided to go their separate ways, confirmed the Beverly Hill, 90210 actor in the latest episode of his podcast. He not only put to rest the rumors of Megan Fox dating rapper Machine Gun Kelly but also revealed that he and the Transformers actress have been apart since the end of 2019.
During Monday’s episode of his …With Brian Austin Green podcast titled “Context,” Brian Austin Green confirmed that he and Megan are “trying to sort of be apart” since the end of 2019, but the news is only coming out now as they made a “decision early on to not comment” on their split in public.
Green further shared that he began feeling distant from Fox when she left the country to film Midnight in the Switchgrass with Machine Gun Kelly (né Richard Colson Baker) and even when she returned from the shoot “things hadn’t really changed”.
After giving her a few weeks “to recoup a little bit and get back into life”, he confronted Megan Fox to question the palpable tension in their marriage. She honestly stated that being out of the country and working alone made her “feel more like myself” making it something “worth trying for me.”
Brian Austin Green recalled the tough conversation, adding that he was “shocked” and “upset” but he also understood that “she didn’t ask to feel that way” and just what “she honestly felt”. “We talked about it a little more and said let’s separate for a bit… and so we did,” he added. “We’ve had an amazing relationship and I will always love her and I know she’ll always love me.”
They decided that for the sake of their family- Green and Fox are parents to Noah Shannon, 7, Bodhi Ransom, 6, and Journey River, 3- they will always remain “friends” and “a united front with the kids” even as they try to “figure out what life is now”.
He also addressed the recent photos of Megan Fox with Machine Gun Kelly and the rumor that she was cheating on Green, explaining that even though he has never met Kelly he knows that he and Fox are “friends at this point” and he is “really just nice, genuine guy.”
As this is the third time the couple has separated in the 15 years they have together, one can’t rule out the possibility that they may reconcile again- something Brian Austin Green agrees with too ‘cause “who knows if this is the end of the journey.”
