BTS fans have lit Twitter on fire as the K-pop Idol Group loses at the Grammys 2021 to the duo of Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande.
The big night of the Grammy Awards 2021 saw many talents take home the most coveted music award, while some sadly didn’t. And the K-pop idol group losing the award was a shock to all, especially to their loyal BTS Army.
BTS lost the Grammy Award in the category of “Best Pop Duo or Group Performance,” for which, they were nominated due to their Billboard chart-topper hit “Dynamite”.
The award was won by the glamourous duo of Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande for their performance in the single “Rain On Me”.
Are Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande to blame?
The answer is obviously not. The nominated artists are not to be blamed for winning an award, which they were given by the Grammys. Many Army fans are consistently trying to make it clear that they should criticize the voting authority of the Grammys and not the artists.
BTS fans have claimed that the Grammys used the beloved K-pop idol group to seem more racially inclusive, and to increase their overall viewership.
This protest against the Grammys came not just from the BTS Army, but also from other artists, who were snubbed at the Grammy Awards 2021.
The BTS member, Kim Nam-Joon aka RM, had also made it clear to BTS Army after being nominated at the Grammys back in November, last year, that they have already won their biggest prize.
“Please don’t forget that whether we get the grammy or not, we already got what we wanted and we got you, so that means we got everything.”
Many BTS fans are hopeful that next year in 2022, their beloved K-pop idol group are sure to get their well-deserved win at the Grammys.
