Chris Harrison sparked speculation that he and Lauren Zima wed on Tuesday, April 27, when he posted a photo with a romantic message on Instagram featuring him kissing Zima.
“There’s no one I’d rather celebrate love with and I’ll be your plus one anytime,” the ABC personality captioned a black-and-white photo of the pair wearing traditional wedding attire on Tuesday, April 27.
But did the couple actually walk down the aisle? No, not so fast.
Congratulatory messaged were in order as soon as the post went up with fans and friends thinking that the pair had gotten married. However, both Harrison,49, and Zima, 33, quickly headed to the comments section clarifying that they had simply attended a wedding and not had their own.
“Love you so much and appreciate all the ‘congrats’! This *bridesmaids* dress is really living above its potential,” Zima wrote.
To which Harrison replied: “Wow you attend one wedding together…do one chicken dance and your hitched! Congrats Christine and Kevin on a beautiful wedding and the start of a wonderful life together. I do love this bridesmaid though❤️.”
Chris Harrison and Lauren Zima relationship
Chris Harrison and Lauren Zima became Instagram official in August 2018. They met while filming Bachelor segments on Entertainment Tonight. She was a member of Bachelor Nation long before dating Harrison. Zima is the host of Entertainment Tonight’s popular Bachelor recap show, Roses and Rosé.
Speaking about his relationship with Ziam, Chris Harrison previously told People: “It’s been easy and I think that’s how it all starts. We started dating and, like any relationship, she made me happy. She was kind, nice, we got along, she blended in great with my friends, and just all those steps in the relationship where you start checking those boxes off and it gets better and better and better.”
The pandemic has “tested” their relationship, for the better.
Chris Harrison and Lauren Zima spent the lockdown together, which helped them to know each other on a far more intimate level. The couple opened up about how quarantine tested, and strengthened, their relationship while speaking to People.
“I said, there’s going to be a lot of corona babies and there’s going to be a lot of corona breakups as soon as this is over because it will test your relationship, and it’s tested ours, but in a good way,” Harrison said. “It’s helped us communicate. It’s helped us sit down and talk, and it’s helped us kind of see each other get frustrated at times.”
While Harrison seems to be head-over-heels for his lady love, she thinks no less of him. Zima said she appreciated Harrison’s qualities even more now. “Chris is really, really good at keeping me grounded. I’m probably a little more emotional. He has great perspective. He’s very calming. So, all of the things that I loved in him before, I think I’m just seeing more and appreciating even more now.”
Harrison was previously married to his college sweetheart, Gwen Jones. The pair met in 1991 at Oklahoma City University when she was studying accounting and Chris was a sportscaster. They got married in 1993 and went on to have two boys together, Joshua, 18, and Taylor, 16. However, the two got divorced in 2012, which was amicable.
