Chrissy Teigen has been called out for being a hypocrite by model Courtney Stodden over recent events where Chrissy Teigen left the social media platform Twitter due to the negativity on the platform
Teigen left the platform on Wednesday night in a series of posts acknowledging the abuse and hatred received on the platform. Her last tweet read –
“Hey. For over 10 years, you guys have been my world. I honestly owe so much to this world we have created here. But it’s time for me to say goodbye. This no longer serves me as positively as it serves me negatively … I’ve always been portrayed as the strong clap back girl but I’m just not.”
While citing hatred and negativity on the platform as the main reason for leaving Twitter, Courtney Stodden stood up for herself and claimed that Chrissy Teigen herself was one of the main sources of hate and negativity she had received online as a teen.
Courtney Stodden was making headlines back in 2011 for getting married at the young age of 16 with 51 year old actor Doug Hutchson, she was victim to people mocking her on blogs and late-night talk shows.
Chrissy Teigen was, apparently, one of the people who Courtney claims has never apologized for her mean tweets against her when she (Courtney) was going through a rough time. She even tweeted proof of one of the tweets she made at the time making fun of Courtney, the tweet-
Speaking to TMZ about the tweets, Courtney Stodden had a lot to say, she said –
Seeing Chrissy Teigen leave Twitter over negativity and bullying was… I just couldn’t believe how hypocritical it was. Hypo-Chrissy Teigen. It was just so hypocritical of her. I think for me, like, because I experienced so much harassment and bullying from her when I was just 16 years old, just 17 years old, just 18 years old, at a time when I needed help… like I was being abused.
Courtney also claims that Chrissy was so rude that she would even sent her Direct Messages-
She sent me so many different tweets, private DMs, up to a couple years ago. It really affected me and the bottom line is I never had a chance to forgive her. She’s never given me a chance to forgive her. Forgiveness starts with ourselves but it’s so damaging when you have somebody like Chrissy Teigen bullying children. So I think it’s time to speak out. I’m not going after her to bully her and I don’t think it’s okay that people are bullying Chrissy, but I also don’t think it’s okay to cry wolf either.
