Jason Sudeikis expressed his feelings about Olivia Wilde split
In an exclusive interview with GQ, actor Jason Sudeikis discussed when and why he and Olivia Wilde split last year. The Ted Lasso star was in the headlines since the beginning of this year because of his breakup, however, he has opened up about this topic publically for the very first time. The couple, who was engaged for almost 7 years, made headlines for their breakup towards the end of 2020 and just a few months after that, in January 2021, Olivia was spotted with the ‘One Direction’ fame Harry Styles.
When asked about the exact timeline of Jason Sudeikis and Olivia Wilde’s split, the ‘Horrible Bosses’ star shared that it all happened in November 2020. Sudeikis also revealed that he will get a better understanding of this incident after some time. “I’ll have a better understanding of why [we split] in a year,” Sudeikis explained. “And an even better one in two, and an even greater one in five, and it’ll go from being, you know, a book of my life to becoming a chapter to a paragraph to a line to a word to a doodle.”
Talking about his experience after their breakup, he said, “either learn from or make excuses about. You take some responsibility for it, hold yourself accountable for what you do, but then also endeavor to learn something beyond the obvious from it,” he added.
At the same time, Jason is now dating his Ted Lasso co-star Keeley Hazel. The couple was spotted having a stroll while holding hands earlier this month. Well, this is not the only good thing that has happened for the “Saturday Night Live” star this year. Jason’s Apple+ series ‘Ted Lasso’ has experienced a lot of success and is currently preparing for season 2. Sudeikis also received a Golden Globe for best actor in a comedy for “Ted Lasso,” in the virtual award ceremony in February. The 45-year-old actor made headlines for wearing a tie-dye hoodie, which many fans thought was because he was heartbroken and so does not feel like getting ready. He was also subjected to be high because of his speech.
When asked about this, Sudeikis said, “I was neither high nor heartbroken. I wore that hoodie because I didn’t wanna fu***** wear the fu***** top half of a Tom Ford suit. I love Tom Ford suits. But it felt weird as shit,” he further told the magazine what he has learned from this. “I think if you have the opportunity to hit a rock bottom, however you define that, you can become 412 bones or you can land like an Avenger. I personally have chosen to land like an Avenger. It doesn’t mean when you blast back up you’re not going to run into a bunch of s**t and have to, you know, fight things to get back to the heights that you were at, but I’d take that over 412 bones anytime.”
