Demi Lovato’s ex-fiancé Max Ehrich is heartbroken, and the recent pictures make it clear that he isn’t over their relationship yet. Paparazzi caught the 29-year-old Young and the Restless star sulking at the Malibu beach over the weekend exactly where he popped the question.
Things for the couple rolled quite quickly as they started dating in March, and it was on July 22 when Demi and Max got engaged and shared pictures from the beach in Malibu. However, just two months later, the pair broke up. According to US Weekly, a source shared that Demi is over this chapter and doesn’t want to look back.
“Demi has been acting as though she was never engaged to Max and that their relationship never happened,” shared the source. “She is still not speaking to him and fully cut him out.”
On the other hand, “Max is in shambles about the whole situation,” the source shared. “It’s been so hard for him because he’s in Atlanta and trying his best to focus on his film [Southern Gospel], God and Jesus.”
Sitting by himself, reminiscing the past, Max was spotted at the beach wallowing in misery. In a video going viral, Max is seen talking on the phone. He picks up a piece of seaweed and tosses it back into the waves. Moments later, he appears to wipe away tears.
A lot of speculations have been going around about Demi and Max’s split, but the reason for the breakup remains unclear. On September 17, Demi’s friends raised concerns over Max’s alleged old tweets pitting her against Selena Gomez that surfaced on social media. Although Demi brushed them off saying, they were entirely fake.
However, on September 26, Demi deleted all her pictures of Max and unfollowed him. Max claimed he found out about his breakup in the tabloids.
According to TMZ, Ehrich has been requesting people to stop bullying him over the split and has also requested to give them both privacy. For Demi, the way to cope with the recent breakup has been by surrounding herself with friends.
While both of them are trying to overcome the rough patch in their own ways, Max’s emotional display hasn’t been going down well with Twitter.
