Doja Cat’s ‘Planet Her’ release called for an epic celebration!

Doja Cat has finally released her third studio album, ‘Planet Her’ and the 25-year-old singer and rapper celebrated the release with style.

Doja Cat threw a wild party in celebration of ‘Planet Her’ on Thursday night, having a sultry dress code. The party was attended by the singer’s famous friends which included artists whom she collaborated with in the past.

Doja Cat rocked a lavender corset top and matching miniskirt, complete with yellow ruffles. She paired her outfit with silver chains and face gems, and accessorized the getup with an orange pom-pom. It’s a typical style that the musician sports.

Who all were invited to the party?

Among her friends, who were invited, included rapper Saweetie with whom Doja collaborated on her single “Best Friend”. Saweetie donned a skintight, open-sided black gown with sparkling laces. Other musicians like Chloe Bailey and Normani were also present and looked equally gorgeous in their sheer and see-through outfits. While Bailey rocked a see-through yellow mesh catsuit, Normani opted for a see-through, midi-layered top with blue detailing and a blue lace bra and thong underneath.

Other guests included Bebe Rexha, who collaborated with Doja Cat on her song  “Baby, I’m Jealous,” and she celebrated the night in a vintage, striped Jean Paul Gaultier dress that was also worn by Kim Kardashian on the 2018 People’s Choice Awards red carpet.

Planet Her

Doja Cat released Planet Her on June 25, 2021. Last year on MTV Video Music Awards she talked about what to expect from the new album. According to her, each new song would have “its own ‘personality,’” and wouldn’t be “perfectly consistent,” she said. “We have some dancehall stuff on there, some Afrobeat stuff, some funk, house. I’m trying to cover all bases,” she added.

Doja Cat has also collaborated with other musicians like Young Thug, Ariana Grande, JID, The Weeknd, and SZA on Planet Her. The album covers a wide range of topics like love, lust, regret, feminity, money, and breakups.

Can we expect a Doja Cat and Lil Nas X collaboration soon?

Doja Cat also opened up about her desire to collaborate with Lil Nas X, reports say. The singer is supposedly a fan of the rapper and wants to work with him soon. “Can’t wait to work with him,” she said. “He is the sweetest person,” she added.
