After embracing trends unimaginable, Dua Lipa is here to bring another one to the forefront. On Saturday, the pop star showed off her latest look in one of her signature photo dumps, where Dua accessorized a sheer dress – which featured loosened lace-up ties on the sleeves— with fuzzy leg warmers in a gray and purple ombre pattern.
She simply captioned the album: ‘Farmgirl’.
To complete her look, the singer elevated her height with a pair of cream studded platform heels. She looked radiant as her brunette locks were styled into loose curls while she added a wool cat ear hat to finish off the look. For glam, Dua Lipa opted for a light dusting of make-up as she toted a leather shoulder bag strutting her stuff through the quaint location.
A style of the ’80s, Leg warmers were hugely popular back in the day, and they have re-entered the fashion scene — thanks to TikTok. Speaking of fashion trends, Dua Lipa’s leg warmers aren’t the only trending things on the block, sheer dresses have been taking over the runway in the past month.
Last month, Dua Lipa wore a skin-tight star-print Mugler mini in a series of playful photos on Instagram, posing atop a pinball machine and inside a photo booth. She shared she “has a special affinity for a dive bar” in the caption. The “Levitating” singer wore a black version of the dress, which was worn by Khloe Kardashian two days before, with matching tights, and a pair of black pumps.
While Dua Lipa keeps surprising us with her fashion sensibilities, on the work front, she has been waiting a long time to perform for fans.
After putting out her second studio album Future Nostalgia in the first few months of the COVID-19 pandemic, when most artists chose to postpone their releases, the English pop star is finally in the midst of a long-delayed world tour.
Dua is also looking to connect more intimately with fans and collaborators beyond the arena stage. Earlier this year Dua launched Service95, a personal newsletter that offers curated lists of everything from her favorite books to restaurants, born out of her own passion for making recommendations to friends and family. She also hosts and records “At Your Service,” an interview podcast that finds Lipa tackling weighty issues including politics and identity in conversations with authors, artists, designers and more.
