Dua Lipa Lets Boyfriend Anwar Hadid Post Ugly Pics Of Her

Dua Lipa also reflects on ‘Give us nothing” meme

During a recent interview with Vanity Fair, Dua Lipa opened up a little about her relationship with boyfriend Anwar Hadid. Anwar Hadid and Dua Lipa spent the lockdown period together. They spent the time relaxing in the garden, listening to songs and reading.

She said,“We got lucky. Lots of being out in the garden, reading a book, and just chilling and listening to music.”

The 24-year-old singer and her 22-year-old boyfriend have been dating for the past two years. Even before the lockdown, they haven’t spent more than two weeks apart from each other.

Dua Lipa doesn’t speak much about her relationship with Anwar Hadid in public. But in a recent interview, she opened up a little. Dua Lipa postulated that Anwar is European in some sense because he is half Dutch. And also asserts that she asks Anwar before posting anything and she allows the boyfriend to upload her ugly photos, though she hates it.

She said,”Anwar, is half Dutch so he’s also quite European in some senses…I always like to ask if he likes a picture before I post it. But I also think sometimes it’s sweet that he really likes kind of ugly pictures of me. And I look at him, I’m like, ‘Really?’ And he’s like, ‘I love it.’ And then I let him post it, although I hate it.”

Last week, on boyfriend Anwar’s 22nd birthday, the Grammy-winning artist posted some photos of the couple.

She captioned,”Happy Birthday Baby @anwarspc 🫀another lap around the sun ~ you make my world so much better!! I’m lucky to love you and be loved by you. DEXTER IS SO LUCKY TOO N LOVES U SO MUCH!!! can’t wait to celebrate youuuu today.”

Dua Lipa said the ‘Give Us Nothing’ meme motivated her to work harder.

During the interview, she also unleashed that the viral meme affected her confidence, but also motivated her to give 200% of hard work .

Lipa sang her hit song New Rules during her 2018 Brit Awards performance. And after someday, someone commented,”I love her lack of energy, go girl give us nothing!” On the video of her performance, it went viral and also affected Dua a little.

When asked about the meme, Dua said that she wants to prove everybody that she is here to stay, and not for just one song or album.

In an interview: she said,”It’s one thing when people are mean about you, but you know that you did your best. But it’s another thing when people are mean about you and you know that you actually haven’t had the opportunity to be the best because you’ve spread yourself so thinly in trying to do everything at once.”

“You want to show that you’re here to stay and you want to show that it’s not just about one album or one big song or whatever it is,” she continued.

The Nostalgia Singer said that she “was very much in control of the fact that I’m going to do the music, then I’m going to rehearse.”

“And then when I come in and I do the performances, they’re all going to be amazing. I’m going to prove to people that I can do this and that I’m here to stay,” she added

Later, Dua Lipa won plenty of awards, which includes the Grammy Awards, American Music Awards, the MTV EMA and the 2021 Brit Award.
