Dua Lipa’s Puma Collaboration Includes A Peekaboo Thong

Flutur is the name, and yes, butterflies are included.

Dua Lipa has been teasing her impending collaboration with Puma for months. Her predilection for butterfly-embellished ’90s throwback ensembles will be obvious to anyone who visits her Instagram feed. Fans can now see how she has blended her passion for winged insects into the new line.

Lipa first joined the global sportswear and lifestyle brand in 2020, when she signed a multiyear deal as the new face of Puma’s womenswear collection. And now that she’s previously starred in a commercial for the brand’s Mayze shoe, the singer is taking her collaboration to the next level with the launch of the brand’s newest collection on Saturday, December 18.

The Dua Lipa x Puma “Flutur” capsule collection is a sneak peek at a larger, full range that will be released in 2022.

For the time being, the limited-edition release comprises of four fundamental items, each of which is emblazoned with Lipa’s own iridescent butterfly insignia. Black and white baby shirts inspired by the early 1990s, as well as a comfortable black oversized hoodie, are among the easy-to-wear wardrobe pieces.

The Mayze sneaker, which Lipa previously featured in a campaign and has been redesigned by the pop star for the collaboration, is a standout item from the “Flutur” capsule collection. The black leather sneakers are expected to have a stacked midsole, Lipa’s new characteristic butterfly insignia on the tongue and footbed, as well as two lace options.

Lipa said of the Puma x Dua Lipa “Flutur” capsule, “For me, butterflies are more than just beautiful creatures. They represent so much, like transformation, hope, and metamorphosis. Over the past year, the butterfly has become especially symbolic and meaningful to me. The name of the capsule, ‘Flutur,’ is the Albanian word for butterfly. I chose it to pay homage to my heritage while also celebrating this new beginning with Puma.”

Lipa shared a few additional photographs from the collection on Instagram, which will be available online at www.puma.com and will cost $30 to $110.

Naturally, a video is included to help bring the campaign to life. Lipa’s “metamorphosis from the chrysalis emerging into a butterfly, from darkness to Technicolor” is depicted in the clip, which was taken by renowned German photographer Daniel Sannwald. It’s difficult to put into words a surreal, CGI fantasy, but Lipa fans will enjoy every minute of it.
