Dua Lipa’s Vacation Rental In Mexico City Is A Homage To Serpent God

Dua Lipa’s Crazy Mexico City Casa

Dua Lipa’s vacation rental in Mexico City pays tribute to an Aztec serpent god, which explains why it has such a … unique design.

The pop star posted up in the capital city inside an Airbnb that’s been officially dubbed Quetzalcoatl’s Nest … named after the mythical culture hero, Quetzalcoatl. The name translates to “feathered serpent” or “plumed serpent.”

El Nido de Quetzalcoatl (Quetzalcoatl’s Nest) is a unique property that has received rave reviews on Airbnb from guests enchanted by its surreal beauty.

Located on the outskirts in a wooded area, the rental apartment is a 4 bedroom, 3.5 bath home that has a serpentine structure and winding cave-like passageways. Perfect for the budding herpetologist in you. The place can accommodate 10 people but be sure to bring friends who are looking for tranquility as this place offers peace and quiet thanks to a park with botanical gardens, mineral caves and lakes.

Mexican architect Javier Senosiain designed the vacation rental. His aim was to create a space that opposed the traditional architecture of Mexico City while respecting the natural environment. The structure is built to make use of the natural caves and curves of the terrain, with apartments spread over 165,000 square feet that meander through the land like a slithering serpent. One of the apartments is open to guests to rent through Airbnb and can sleep up to eight people in five bedrooms. Each one is fully equipped with a living room, kitchen and laundry room. The rooms are connected by various tunnels and to allow the entry of maximum light, there are no doors – apart from the main entrance. Each room also boasts incredible views of the surrounding land,Β which looks like it was pieced together from the imagination of J.R.R. Tolkien. The complex was designed to have a minimal impact on its environment and its extensive gardens and woods are watered with collected rainwater. There is also a vegetable garden on site which residents use to grow their own produce.

There are quirky living rooms to enjoy inside, but the breathtaking views are best enjoyed outside … thanks to the expansive green spaces. And that’s exactly what Dua Lipa did … while rocking her abs and orange sunglasses with some friends in her vacation rental. Normies can book the incredibly affordable space at just $359 per night assuming it’s not fully booked. More information can be found here.

Dua Lipa scored and made us all super jelly with the images she posted on Instagram of her vacation rental. She captioned it “ dream .” Easy to look why.
