Dwayne Johnson might have used his inner Black Adam powers because he manually ripped off his gate by himself.
Today must have been a really important day for the Rock, as a power outage had locked the upcoming DC’s Black Adam Star inside his own residence. Unable to leave for work due to the front gate being an electrically powered one, he decided to take matters into his own hands and manually tore off his gate without any help.
“Not my finest hour, but a man’s gotta go to work. We experienced a power outage due to severe storms, causing my front gate not to open. I tried to override the hydraulic system to open the gates, which usually works when power goes out – but this time it wouldn’t.” explained The Rock
Dwayne Johnson aka The Rock did think of the rational idea of calling the technician but he would’ve been late for work. “Made some calls to see how fast I can get the gate tech on-site, but I didn’t have 45min to wait.
By this time, I know I have hundreds of production crew members waiting for me to come to work so we can start our day.” But nothing can stop the unstoppable Dwayne from going to work, so he decided to use his brute strength to solve the matter. “So I did what I had to do. I pushed, pulled, and ripped the gate completely off myself. Ripped it completely out of the brick wall, severed the steel hydraulics and threw it on the grass.”
Not only did Johnson shook his fans when he shared his madness over Instagram, his strength even shocked the gate technician and welders that arrived on the scene and met up with Dwayne Johnson’s security team an hour after the stunt.
“My security team was able to meet the gate technician and welders about an hour later — and they were apparently, ‘in disbelief and equally scared’ as to how I ripped it off,” stated The Rock in the post “Not my finest hour, but I had to go to work.”
His Black Adam brawn amazed known actors who follow him, including Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds as he joked about the act saying “The gate opened the OTHER way.”
Dwayne Johnson later added a video fully showing the damage he had done and also made fun of his feat by saying “Maybe next time I’ll just hop the gates and call an Uber. Actually, no I won’t. There’s no fun in that”
