It’s been over two year since Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly went public with their relationship. They met on the set of their film Midnight in the Switchgrass from where their friendship blossomed into a relationship. While the couple has been vocal about how madly they are in love with each other, they admit to have their own struggles.
Speaking to British GQ Style for the magazine’s Autumn/Winter 2021 issue, which they posed for in their first cover photoshoot as a couple, the stars opened up about details of what people don’t always see in their photographs and appearances.
“It should be light, but also we go to hell with each other,” Kelly said of his relationship with Fox. “It’s ecstasy and agony for sure… I don’t want people to think anything’s perfect with us. I didn’t say it was the darkest fairy tale for no reason.”
“[I was] definitely open [to] love, but I did not anticipate walking right into my soulmate like that,” said Fox. “I was obviously over the way I had been living, and those paths lined up, those doors opened. It was [as if] all the obstacles that had kept us apart all those years [had been removed] and we were able to finally intersect.”
However, “the first time I looked into his eyes, I was like, ‘I know you. I have known you so many times, in so many different forms, in so many different lives,'” she said, adding that she “wasn’t expecting it’d be like, ‘God, you are my soulmate,’ instantly.”
In July Megan Fox told The Washington Post that she only worked on Midnight in the Switchgrass with Machine Gun Kelly for two days, but she still established a “magical” connection with him.
“The first time I looked into his eyes, I was like, ‘I know you. I have known you so many times, in so many different forms, in so many different lives,’ ” she said, adding that she “wasn’t expecting it’d be like, ‘God, you are my soulmate,’ instantly.”
For the photoshoot, the hot Hollywood pair are seen locking lips, kissing each other’s necks and in one snap, the actress is seen holding a pistol while wearing nothing.
Moving on from these details, Megan Fox, the star who owns every space that she walks into with her vibe and style confessed that she’s not as confident in her body as some might think.
“We may look at somebody and think, ‘That person’s so beautiful. Their life must be so easy.’ They most likely don’t feel that way about themselves,” she said.
Fox did not detail how body dysmorphic disorder affects her, but she has discussed other mental health issues in the past. She nearly reached a “breaking point” after the 2009 release of Jennifer’s Body because she found herself consistently being s**ualized in films and media.
“It wasn’t just that movie, it was every day of my life, all the time, with every project I worked on and every producer I worked with,” Fox said at the time.
