Elon Musk To Be The Upcoming SNL Host With Miley Cyrus As The Musical Guest

Fans are not that happy with this decision.

Elon Musk has been assigned to be the SNL host for next week’s episode of the comedy skit show, with Miley Cyrus as the musical guest for that night.

We all will get to see the billionaire CEO of Tesla, Elon Musk, in a new comedic light as he has taken up the task to entertain people as the SNL host on 8 May.

The long-running comedy show Saturday Night Live, aka SNL, took to their official Instagram page to share their weekly post-it-note photo of their next episode’s lineup. What surprised fans was that Elon Musk’s name was written as the SNL host, which is a pretty random move.

And, no, Elon Musk’s musical spouse Grimes won’t be accompanying him as the musical guest for the night. Instead, the “Hannah Montana” star Miley Cyrus will be the one doing the singing honours. The SNL Instagram page captioned the post with a pun: “Musk See It”.

This move wasn’t that well received by SNL fans.

Why do people not want Elon Musk as SNL host?

People are not liking the decision to make Elon Musk as the SNL host for next week’s episode, as the show rarely reaches out to billionaires and business tycoons to play the part of hosts.

This move seems more like a business-minded decision, one with the motive of profiting off rather than the thrill of entertaining people. This led to an outrage on Twitter, as fans wrote about how nobody asked for Elon Musk as the SNL host.

“idk how much communication you have with lorne or the higher ups, but someone needs to tell them that absolutely no one wants this. i can not think of a single person who wants this. And i don’t mean Miley,” wrote one twitter user.

While many people have taken to twitter to demand the show to let the upcoming SNL musical guest Miley Cyrus to do a double-duty and play the part of the show’s host as well.

This backlash is to be expected since Elon Musk has quite a controversial past, he has been alleged of treating his employees very poorly and is infamous for his weird tweets.

Last year in May, Elon had tweet that “Tesla stock price is too high imo,” which led to a whopping fall of $14B off it’s stock value, causing people to lose their hard earned money.
