Elon Musk’s girlfriend Grimes took to Instagram to tell her followers that she has contracted the coronavirus and she did it in the most Grimes way possible. Grimes wrote, “Finally got COVID but weirdly enjoying the Dayquil fever dream 2021,” adding a plant and a fairy emoji. She also added a Spotify stream of SZA’s song, “Good Day.” Grimes added, “This song is sooooo,” finishing the message with a series of emojis.
Grimes was criticized by followers for the use of the word “Finally” in her message, while others made it clear that it may suggest that she has earlier been in close proximity of the virus but remained unaffected when her boyfriend Elon Musk had been infected last year. Elon Musk and his girlfriend Grimes currently reside in Los Angeles which has one of the most severe surges in coronavirus cases.
Grimes’ condition with the coronavirus and her symptoms are yet unknown but the singer doesn’t seem to mind much as she is “weirdly enjoying” it. There was no mention of whether her infant son X Æ A-XII, or her partner Elon Musk have contracted the virus too.
In May, Elon Musk and girlfriend Grimes welcomed their first child together- a baby boy named X Æ A-XII. Later, in an interview with New York Times, Grimes had revealed that her then 5-month-old-son, who is called X by his parents, is already a big fan of “radical art.”
“I’ve watched Apocalypse Now and stuff with my baby,” she shared. “He’s into radical art. Like, he just actually is, and I don’t think it’s problematic to engage with them on that level. And so I was just like, could this be more artistic? In general, stuff for babies is really just creatively bad.” She said, she doesn’t want her baby’s “first introduction to the world to just be all this aimless crap.”
Kick starting this year, Grimes released a Rave edition of her 2020 album Miss Anthropocene. While Elon Musk just overthrew Amazon CEO, Jeff Bezos to become the richest man in the world after a surge in Tesla stocks.
