Everything to know about George Clooney’s The Tender Bar
The Tender Bar is an adaptation of the 2005 acclaimed memoir by author J.R. Moehringer. Moehringer is serving as an executive producer on Clooney’s set. The memoir “recounts Moehringer’s adolescent years, as he grows up on Long Island in search of a father figure among the patrons at his uncle’s bar.”
For the past few days, Clooney’s cast and crew have been going around the Northern part of the country for shooting the movie. On Friday morning, they were shooting the Yale graduation scene at the Harvard Club. They also shot in multiple towns on the North Shore. On Tuesday, they were spotted at Parkview Avenue in Lowell. During the Thursday shoot, they were using period cars for a scene.
This wouldn’t be the first time that Ben Affleck and George Clooney have shared a set. The duo had also won an Oscar for the Best Picture, Argo, as producers. Tye Sheridan is all set to play the lead while Affleck will accompany him as his Uncle in the Long Island drama. The production is happening close to the place where Affleck grew-up.
“Ben is excited to be in Boston,” a source told People. “He and George are happy to be reunited and working together again.” A production source also said that “Affleck comes prepared and ready to film. He and George are great to work with.”
