Gigi Hadid and her baby daughter Khai welcomed summer the right way, starting with what looked like a super fun pool date.
What’s more, the two were twinning for their pool day and wore matching green printed swimsuits!
“inhale summer 🌞” she wrote as she shared photos of them in a pool, soaking in the sun. The first photo was Gigi’s selfie while the second one showed her embracing baby Khai – who’s grown up so much!
But the third photo was the winner. It was a snapshot of the infant from behind as she sat on a towel in the grass.
Obviously, Gigi Hadid made sure to keep her daughter’s face hidden, but her full head of hair was on complete display.
Gigi Hadid makes it a point to keep her daughter’s face hidden on social media. Here’s why
Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid welcomed daughter Khai in September last year. The two were private about the pregnancy, didn’t reveal their daughter’s name for the longest time, and have never shown her face on social media.
Gigi’s sister Bella explained their decision in a chat with Vogue earlier this year.
“I think she wants to be real online, but until her child wants to be in the spotlight and can make the decision herself, she doesn’t want to put her in that position,” Bella said.
Gigi herself added that she’s taking inspiration from friends like Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, who have managed to keep their children out of the spotlight.
“I have friends who are public figures and that’s how they’ve gone about it, and I see their kids really blossom in a different way,” the model shared.
Meanwhile, Bella recently shared an adorable video of Khai
Bella Hadid posted a video of her and Gigi singing to baby Khai – and it was the most adorable thing.
There was also a male voice in the video, and fans are divided on whether it was Zayn Malik or their brother, Anwar Hadid.
We wouldn’t be surprised if it’s Zayn, as the singer has previously talked about how he sings to his daughter.
During his interview for Valentine in the Morning, Zayn was asked what kind of lullabies he sings to Khai. “I kind of make stuff up to be honest,” he said. “It’s mainly melodies and she kind of makes sounds back to me, which is amazing. It’s not necessarily a specific song, I just like singing to her.”
He added, “it’s pretty cool.”
