Following her split from Zayn Malik, Gigi Hadid was photographed arriving at the Mallorca, Spain airport on Wednesday, Dec. 1. The supermodel, 26, touched down in Palma on a private jet before making her way out of the terminal building and hopping into a waiting car.
Hadid donned white padded jacket, black joggers, and brown Uggs, and tied her blonde tresses, which she recently switched to, in a bun. She was joined by male members of her entourage for a photoshoot, and wore a face covering and shades.
Gigi Hadid has been steering clear of the public eye after reports came to light that Zayn had hit her mother, Yolanda, during a fight in their luxury Pennsylvania home last month.
Earlier this month, US Weekly was informed that Gigi was “meeting with lawyers to discuss custody issues” of her one-year-old daughter Khai, whose father is Zayn, 28. The same source added that Gigi feels Zayn “will always be part of her life” but she is “distressed” by the issues and fighting between him and her mother.
Amid these stressful times, Yolanda and Bella Hadid have been there for Gigi as she navigates her split from Zayn.
“[Yolanda], Gigi and Bella have been staying together in NYC and have truly been supporting each other,” an insider told E! News. “They have a great family support system and are glad they have each other to lean on.”
The source close to the Hadids also shared that “Everyone is sad that things got so ugly and took this turn. In every family there is drama and emotions run high, but they feel Zayn crossed a line and he needs to be accountable.”
Following reports that Zayn got into an altercation with Yolanda, he issued a public statement to Twitter seemingly addressing the news.
“As you all know I am a private person and I very much want to create a safe and private place for my daughter to grow up in,” the One Direction alum wrote. “A place where private family matters aren’t thrown on the world stage for all to poke and pick apart. In an effort to protect that space for her, I agreed to not contest claims arising from an argument I had with a family member of my partner’s who entered our home while my partner was away several weeks ago.”
He continued, “This was and still should be a private matter but it seems for now there is divisiveness and despite my efforts to restore us to a peaceful family environment that will allow for me to co-parent my daughter in a manner in which she deserves, this has been ‘leaked’ to the press. I am hopeful though for healing for all involved with the harsh words shared and more importantly, I remain vigilant to protect Khai and give her the privacy she deserves.”
Malik had pleaded no contest to four counts of harassment after allegedly pushing Yolanda into a dresser and calling her a ‘fg Dutch slt’ at the home he shares with Gigi in Pennsylvania.
