Gwen Stefani is gonna rock Hollywood Bowl’s 100th Anniversary!
Gwen Stefani is all set to party at Hollywood Bowl’s 100th Anniversary. The pop star has been confirmed to headline the opening night of the new season’s festivities on June 3. The singer-songwriter will be opening the celebrations of the 100th Anniversary of the amphitheater and the home of LA Music alongside Venezuelan conductor Gustavo Dudamel and the Los Angeles Philharmonic youth’s orchestra.
The night will also witness special performances from ballet dancer Roberto Bolle, saxophonist Branford Marsalis, and dancing sisters Let It Happen. The program is set to feature marching bands from UCLA (Bruin) and USC (Trojan) who are known to be rivals. The curtain will draw upon the night with a spectacular fireworks show, a signature of the Bowl.
Who else are performing in the gala?
Gwen Stefani’s headliner act of the Hollywood Bowl’s 100th Anniversary comes along with other announcements from the L.A. Phil. The music company also released more details on the two-day weekend festival known as 101 Fest, which will be organized at the Bowl itself on June 11 and at Ford on June 12.
The 100th Anniversary celebration will also include sets from DJ Cut Chemist, the L.A. Phil with special guest violinist Ray Chen, Sheila E., YOLA with members of the L.A. Phil conducted by Thomas Wilkins, Chilean songstress Mon Laferte and Ben Harper. The evening will kick off with the world premiere performance by L.A. Phil, created by composer John Williams to mark the Bowl’s 100th anniversary.
Hollywood Bowl’s official Twitter page tweeted about this festival on March 16. On both days, a specially-commissioned performance by Native Americans from both the Chumash and Tongva people will open up with the celebrations.
You can now buy subscription tickets for the Hollywood Bowl 2022 summer season and “Create Your Own” packages. The box office will go live with single ticket sales on May 3.
