Happy Birthday, Lady Gaga: Epic Moments From 2019 Confirming That It Was HER Year

A star was born!

Singer, songwriter, fashionista, actress and our all-time favourite rule-breaker, Lady Gaga turns 34 today! Named Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta at birth, the singer rechristened herself Lady Gaga and carved a niche for herself as soon as she stepped on the pop scene. As fans across the world held their breath waiting for Gaga’s latest music, the singer delayed the release of her sixth album, Chromatic.

In a statement on Instagram, the actress mentioned, “This is such a hectic and scary time for all of us, and while I believe art is one the strongest things we have to provide joy and healing to each other during times like this, it just doesn’t feel right to me to release this album with all that is going on during this global pandemic.”

While Covid-19 has brought the world (and Gaga’s album) to a standstill, here’s a look at the iconic moments from 2019 that were loved by Gaga’s fans universally.

Lady Gaga at the Oscars

If you are a Gaga fan, you have been waiting for this day since forever! You couldn’t control your excitement when Gaga FINALLY walked on the Oscars red carpet. Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper hit, A Star is Born received nominations in multiple categories during the 2019 Academy Awards. The singer may have not won an award but she won our hearts. And the moment Lady Gaga sang Shallow, one couldn’t help but melt! Her sizzling chemistry with her co-star Bradley Cooper set tongues wagging and one couldn’t help but wonder if Lady Gaga’s boyfriend, Michael Polansky will ever match that up.

Lady Gaga at the Golden Globes

The ceremony proved to be a special treat for all fans of Mother Monster. She won the red carpet in a periwinkle blue Valentino number followed by her winning a Golden Globe award. Lady Gaga’s song, Shallow from her hit, A Star is Born, was the top choice in the Best Original Score category. Go, Queen!

Lady Gaga at the Grammy Awards

Dazzling in a silver sequinned gown from Celine, the Born This Way singer dazzled us further as she picked up three awards. Shallow (yet again) from Lady Gaga’s movie A Star is Born won awards in two categories, while her hit number Joanne ruled the Pop Solo Performance category. However, it was her heartfelt speech that left us emotional.

Lady Gaga’s journey is a testimony to the power of passion – in fact, she has been following hers since she was a teenager! 2019 saw Lady Gaga’s net worth hit a cool $320 million. She made her money from tours, music sales, royalties, endorsements, acting assignments, a Las Vegas residency, and her makeup line, among other things. Honestly, we can’t wait to see the surprises she’ll throw at us in 2020!

Before you leave, for any true fan of the singer, a mention of the songstress would be incomplete without seeing a picture of Lady Gaga in the Meat Dress from the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards. Lo and behold, for, on her 34th birthday, Mother Monster is here to bless you in her fun, fierce and fabulous glory!
