Harry Styles and Lizzo are proving that none can beat their dynamic duo! The “Watermelon Sugar” singer recently brought out the 33-year-old singer and flautist to perform with him on his set on the second weekend of the Coachella 2022 music festival on Friday evening. And needless to say, fans couldn’t keep calm seeing this collaboration happening live.
Lizzo teamed up with Styles to belt out a rendition of Gloria Gaynor’s beloved classic “I Will Survive,” before the pair went on to do a duet of a very popular One Direction hit from days long gone – “What Makes You Beautiful”. The pair were also decked out in matching outfits for their joint performances in Indio, California. Both of them rocked pink large feathered jackets.
Earlier that day, the “Truth Hurts” singer teased in a TikTok post that she was headed off to the music festival. “I’m bored otw to Coachella 😛,” she captioned the post.
After her performance with harry Styles, Lizzo shared an Instagram post of her and the ex-One Direction star posing for a blurry selfie. “Proud of you @harrystyles,” she wrote in the caption. “Thank u for having me.”
Harry Styles also invited Shania Twain for a duet last week before performing with Lizzo
A week prior to the Harry Styles and Lizzo collaboration happened, the “As It Was” singer invited songstress Shania Twain on stage to perform with him during his set last weekend on Friday. The duo performed Twain’s tracks “Man! I Feel Like a Woman!” and “You’re Still the One,” together with Styles.
Before their collaborative performance, the 28-year-old addressed the crowd to share a few of his thoughts. “Now I have to tell you, in the car with my mother as a child, this lady taught me to sing,” he said. “She also taught me that men are trash,” he continued laughing. “But to you, for the memories you gave me with my mother, I will be forever grateful,” he added.
Twain was just as excited to perform alongside him at Coachella 2022. “I’m [at a] loss for words, I’m a bit starstruck … when I was writing this song, you were just a kid, so it’s kind of a dream and very surreal to be sitting right here now, singing this song with you,” she noted.
