Baby Archie is two already!
“While Harry and Meghan are raising Archie to be grounded, they go the extra mile on his birthday,” an insider told Us Weekly. “They made [his] card themselves and wrote a sweet poem inside, splashed out on gifts — including outdoor toys — and have bought him the cutest birthday outfit!”
“They want Archie to grow up understanding the importance of giving back,” the source added. “Harry and Meghan feel so blessed to have such an articulate and caring child. Archie is learning to count already and keeps saying, ‘Two!’”
Meanwhile, Archie’s grandfather, Prince Charles, shared a beautiful black-and-white photo. “Happy birthday to Archie, who turns 2 today,” he wrote.
The Queen also plans on celebrating Archie’s birthday, even if it’s from afar. “Elizabeth II is planning to wish Archie a happy birthday via Zoom and she has sent him a present and card,” another source told Us. “Seeing her great-grandson’s face always brightens up her day!”
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle shared a new photo of Archie on his birthday
Meghan and Harry announced a charitable initiative on their Archewell site in honor of Archie’s birthday. They called upon fans to make donations to Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, which is working towards making vaccines available to underprivileged sections across the globe.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex shared an adorable new photo of Archie to unveil the initiative. The sepia-toned picture, clicked from behind, shows Archie wearing a knit sweater and pants as he holds a bouquet of balloons.
“We have been deeply touched over the past two years to feel the warmth and support for our family in honor of Archie’s birthday,” they wrote on the site.
“Many of you donate to charities on his behalf, and mark the occasion by giving back or doing an act of service—all through the goodness of your hearts. You raise funds for those who need it most, and continue to do so organically and selflessly. We remain incredibly grateful.”
After explaining the cause, the couple wrote how they “cannot think of a more resonant way to honor [their] son’s birthday”.
