While the government is doing everything in its power to minimize and beat back the pandemic before the death toll rises, Indian celebrities are also coming forward to pitch in their heartfelt contributions in the fight against the coronavirus outbreak.
Perhaps one of the first Indian celebrities to make a donation, South superstar Rajinikanth has donated Rs 50 lakh to help daily wage workers during the ongoing coronavirus crisis.
The Bollywood actor came forward with preventive masks and other requirements worth Rs 20 lakh for BMC workers and other caretakers.
The Baahubali actor has donated an amount of Rs 4 crore for Covid-19 relief, with Rs 3 crore to the Prime Minister’s relief fund and Rs 50 lakhs each to the state-relief funds of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Joining the list of Indian celebrities aiding the fight against coronavirus in the country, comedian Kapil Sharma has announced a contribution of Rs 50 lakh to the Prime Minister Relief Fund.

The Reliance Foundation in collaboration, with NGOs across different cities, will also be providing free meals to people. They also announced the production of 1,00,000 face masks a day and other protective equipments to help health workers and medical professionals.
