Jacob Elordi Calls His Euphoria Character Nate A Freak!
Jacob Elordi does not have any pretty adjectives for his Euphoria Character Nate and honestly, we agree! Without a doubt, Elordi is a person who knows Nate inside out. As a result, it’s quite baffling for Jacob Elordi that people find his Euphoria character attractive!
Euphoria star Jacob Elordi, recently revealed that he is not that great a fan of his character on the show. The 23 year old plays the role of Nate Jacobs, an abusive, manipulative and obsessive person. Although Elordi himself seems very much repulsed by the behaviour exhibited by Nate, there are quite a few people who love this character.
Jacob Elordi admitted, in a very recent conversation, that it is quite scary that people find his character very attractive. He states: “I know, it’s so scary when you read that stuff. It’s bad, it’s so bad.” He continues by saying: “He’s an emotional terrorist, a narcissist, a sociopath, a freak. All those things.”
Jacob Elordi On His Part In Euphoria
Speaking about his character in Euphoria, the Kissing Booth star said: “Honestly, the first thing that I read were audition sides, and he was really just a macho college a——-.”
He further adds: “He was abusive and drinking and yelling at people and throwing his chest around. I had no idea of the scope or the depth that was to come.”
Nevertheless, the lack of depth of his character did not stop Jacob Elordi from having fun during Euphoria’s casting process. The 2 Hearts star recollects saying:
“The casting process was so much fun. It was so standard, and I hadn’t had a movie come out. I was just trying to be a working actor and just went in. Call back. Call back. And then next thing I know, we were making the show.”
About Jacob Elordi’s character in Euphoria
Elordi plays the role of Nate Jacobs in the immensely popular HBO series. His character has a toxic sense of masculinity due to his upbringing and struggles with anger issues. His character has abused both Ruth, played by Zendaya and Jules, played by Hunter Schafer. Nate’s relationship with Maddy Perez, portrayed by Alexa Demie, is also that of a toxic nature.
Noah Flynn in The Kissing Booth
Previously, The Euphoria star had acknowledged that there surely lies a degree of awfulness in Noah Flynn. He said:
“It’s two completely different experiences. The Kissing Booth was the first film I ever made — it was sort of my ticket to Hollywood, so I was really grateful for that, Jacob Elordi explains.”
He continues: “It’s almost like righting my wrongs a little bit too, because the character in The Kissing Booth is awful and it’s never really explained. He’s kind of idolized and made into a hero, so I suppose this show is showing why.”
Indeed, Jacob’s words have made it clear that toxicity is never pretty. Never.
