Jessica Biel gave birth to her and Justin Timberlake’s second child in July last year
Jessica Biel has recently shared some rare information about the birth of her second child, Phineas. It has been almost 11 months since the birth of Jessica and Justin Timberlake’s second child, however, the couple officially announced Phineas’ birth in January when Justin talked about him on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show.’ “He’s awesome and so cute. Nobody’s sleeping,” he said. “But we’re thrilled. We’re thrilled and couldn’t be happier. Very grateful.”
Apparently, Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake were able to keep their whole pregnancy of the second child, a secret from the world. Although, Biel revealed during an interview for Dax Shepard’s podcast Armchair Expert, that this was not their plan, “I had, like, a secret COVID baby,” the 39-year-old actress said. “It wasn’t like it was supposed to be a secret. It was just COVID happened, and then I went to Montana with my family and never left.” She further talked about her lifestyle with two kids these days and how she manages it, “I’m spending a lot of time at home on Zooms in my apartment,” she explained. “Hanging with my baby, changing diapers, doing nap time.”
Jessica and Justin share two sons together, Silas, 6, and Phineas, 11 months, so now they are a family of four. When asked about the adjustment Jessica Biel had to make after her second child, she said, “Someone said to me, ‘Two is like having a thousand.’ And that’s exactly what it feels like. The balance of everything is very different and super hard. But I agree. I mean, it’s amazing. It’s so interesting. It’s so funny,” she explained.
“The conversations I’m having now with my 6-year-old are so cool. Like, he’s a real person saying the funniest stuff and he’s so sensitive and tender. It’s just so interesting to see that part of it happen and the little one is just cute as hell.”
Since her whole pregnancy took place during the covid pandemic time, the 7th Heaven alum feared that the hospital restriction might become a problem for them.
Jessica thought that the hospital might not allow Timberlake to be present when she gives birth, “The hospital restrictions had just changed,” Jessica said. “And there was a moment there that there was nobody allowed at all and I was really getting nervous about that situation. But yes, he was allowed. I think if I had to be there alone, that would have been horrible. I would have been really scared.”
Biel had an interesting career choice for her sons
Another interesting topic that host Dax Shepard discussed with ‘the Sinner’ fame was about the future careers of her sons and what will her reaction be if the kids decide to follow their parents. Jessica Biel was quick to say what she prefers, “My knee-jerk reaction is ‘Oh god, no. Please no.'” she said. “But then I look at these kids and I’m like, ‘Oh s–t, they’re probably going to be musical. What are we going to do? Like, not let them play the piano or not let them take a voice lesson if that’s their passion?’…I don’t want to be that parent to stifle a dream. But man, if my kid would just be like, ‘Let’s go learn about corn in Iowa,’ [I’d be like], ‘Great.’ I would so much rather them be an engineer or something.” Well, these four do make a beautiful family.
