Joe Jonas is grateful for the extra time he’s getting to spend with his wife Sophie Turner and their daughter Willa.
Before the pandemic struck, the Jonas Brothers were on the road for their Happiness Begins tour, which ended in February 2020. When asked if he’s ready to hit the road again, Joe said he’s “always ready”.
“I’m always ready to get back on the road. I miss performing so much,” the 31-year-old said. He talked about how the year has been challenging for everyone in different ways. For him, what he’s missed the most is getting on stage and seeing the massive crowd of fans.
“The minute that can happen again in a safe way, I’m there,” he added.
Joe Jonas on quarantining with Sophie Turner and their daughter
Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas welcomed their daughter, Willa, in July 2020. The two have rarely spoken about the little one and have kept her away from the public eye.
But the Sucker singer spoke about parenthood and his daughter for the first time ever in the CBS This Morning interview. “It’s been amazing,” Willa’s dad began.
“It’s been forced time at home,” he went on. “I’m always on the go, I’m always moving and traveling and touring. And to be in one place for a solid amount of time and [have] my feet on the ground and be with my family, my immediate family is time I don’t think I’ll get back.”
He added that he’s extremely “thankful and grateful” for that. When asked how cute his daughter was, Joe gushed over her, saying she’s “gorgeous”.
As for how fatherhood is treating him and what he’s learnt so far, the musician had the funniest answer. “Naps are nice — all around.”
Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner recently celebrated their two-year wedding anniversary.
Meanwhile, there’s some good news for all the Jonas Brothers fans. Joe shared that the quarantine has certainly got his creative juices flowing. “I’m always writing and recording and I find it very inspiring,” he revealed.
