John Legend on Chrissy Teigen’s mental health amidst cyberbullying controversy

It has surely been a rough few weeks for Chrissy Teigen. Being caught in an intense cyberbullying scandal which she has apologized for since has definitely taken a toll on her mental health. However, husband John Legend recently came forward to confirm that the 35-year-old model and mother is doing much better after the entire ordeal.


In a recent video posted on TMZ, John Legend said that Chrissy Teigen is “doing great” after being asked about how she has been coping with everything.

What actually happened?

The model was recently involved in a controversy where she supposedly bullied and harassed “Project Runway” contestant Michael Costello. The fashion designer posted screenshots of messages that Teigen sent him after fake reports of him being racist emerged online in 2014. In the messages she can be seen being extremely vile towards him and even asking him to end his own life.

Costello confessed that the cruel cyberbullying from Chrissy Teigen made him depressed to the point where he was even considering taking his own life.

“When I reached out to Chrissy Teigen to communicate that I was the victim of a vindictive cyber slander, and that everything she thought I was is not who I am, she told me that my career was over and that all my doors will be shut from there on,” he wrote on his Instagram post.

Chrissy Teigen’s apology

Chrissy Teigen has since apologized for all the cyberbullying she put others through and even took to Instagram to post her lengthy apology. “I was a troll, full stop. And I am so sorry,” she wrote. She even posted the apology on Twitter which was shared by John Legend with the caption, “We are all more than our worst moments,” followed by three red heart emojis.

Chrissy Teigen has been accused previously as well for cyberbullying multiple women in the industry including stars like Courtney Stodden, Lindsay Lohan, and Farrah Abraham. She has apologized to everyone in her post and has promised to be a better person in the future.

I won’t ask for your forgiveness, only your patience, and tolerance. I ask that you allow me, as I promise to allow you, to own past mistakes and be given the opportunity to seek self-improvement and change,” she concluded.
