Netflix’s drama Ozark star Julia Garner rocked the 78th Annual Golden Globes 2021 on Sunday in her deep neckline dress. The 27-year-old was seen attending the ceremony virtually due to the coronavirus pandemic. Golden Globes happened this year bicoastally, in Los Angeles and New York City, where Tina Fey took the stage in NYC’s Rockefeller Center in the Rainbow Room, and Amy Poehler managed the crowd in Beverly Hilton Hotel, Los Angeles.
Julia Garner took everyone’s attention in her ultra-low plunging Prada dress. The floor-length dress seemed to be inspired by the fashion of the 1920s. It had a black sequined belt around the midriff and the neckline was lined with a black satin stripe. Julia Garner’s dress was a cream coloured ruched skirt with it’s neckline ending just above her navel. The dress had black sequins all around it falling like raindrops.
Julia Garner completed her Golden Globes 2021 look with some Verdura jewelry. It consisted of diamond earring with black and gold starbursts and thick bracelets which were also covered with black and white pearls. Her makeup was kept to minimal with only an iconic red lipstick. Her curls were tied up in a messy bun.
In one of the photographs, the actress was also seen with her gigantic diamond engagement ring given by her husband, Mark Foster. Julia Garner’s makeup artist, Hung Vanngo also shared that he used Chanel beauty products to style the actress for this iconic look. She also featured a Jennifer Behr Diamond Gemma Bobby Pin in her hair.
Julia Garner on her character Ruth in Ozark
Julia Garner also spoke to Giuliana Rancic about her character, Ruth, in Ozark in an exclusive E! Red carpet interview at the virtual Golden Globes 2021. The actress got nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a Television Series for Netflix’s Ozark. Along with her, Gillian Anderson and Helena Bonham Carter are nominated for The Crown, along with Annie Murphy for Schitt’s Creek and Cynthia Nixon for the One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest prequel– Ratched. The award was won by Gillian Anderson for The Crown.
When asked what she loved most about playing Ruth, the actress said, “The thing that I love about Ruth is how, and this might sound weird, how hopeful she is in a way. You know, she’s that type of person that it might not seem like she doesn’t care but really deep down she really cares the most.”
“She gets up in the morning, she goes to work and she just keeps going because she has this hopefulness about her that just makes her really endearing. But at the same time I also love how impulsive she is. But I also hate how impulsive she is. So the thing that I love is also the thing that I hate.”
