He posted the image along with a message, where Justin introspected on the mistakes that he made as a reckless celebrity. He began the message by stating that “7 years ago today I was arrested, not my finest hour. Not proud of where I was at in my life. I was hurting, unhappy, confused, angry, mislead, misunderstood and angry at god..” While the message started off as a bit serious, Justin did make fun of his poor choice of wearing leather shorts in the photo as he was arrested in Miami which is known for its hot and humid weather.  “I also wore too much leather for someone in Miami.”

God was as close to me then as he is right now.” He then concluded the message with a piece of advice to his fans that “My encouragement to you is to ‘let your past be a reminder of how far god has brought you. Don’t allow shame to ruin your “today” let the forgiveness of Jesus take over and watch your life blossom into all that God has designed you to be. LOVE YOU GUYS WITH MY WHOLE HEART.”

Why was Justin Bieber arrested?

Justin Bieber was pulled over by police officers alongside the American singer and friend, Khalil as the two were suspected to be street racing early morning in their supercars. The two were then charged with DUI or Driving Under Influence and resisting the arrest. In Justin’s toxicology report that came after the arrest, he tested positive for Xanax and THC.

After the incident, Justin pleaded guilty to all the charges and had to pay a charge of $500 along with a compulsory course on anger management and an awareness course on the hazards of driving carelessly.

Justin Bieber has now come a long way from that time and has been working on his mental health. His marriage with Hailey Bieber in 2018 has had an even more healthy impact on his life.
