Kaley Cuoco Is Said To Be ‘Doing Fine’ Following Her Divorce From Karl Cook

‘She has a big career and puts that first in her life.’

A source has spoken out regarding Kaley Cuoco and Karl Cook’s unexpected divorce filing, detailing how Kaley is doing and guessing as to what went wrong.

The 35-year-old actress, who announced her second divorce on Friday, is in Berlin filming Season 2 of The Flight Attendant and is “doing fine,” according to a source close to her.

“She has a big career and puts that first in her life,” the source told People magazine. “It’s basically a growing apart and each pursuing separate interests,” adding that the two “haven’t spent that much time together recently.” Karl Cook, who is an equestrian, spent the winter practising in Florida while Kaley Cuoco was based in Los Angeles, according to the article.

“She has a lot going on in her career now and loves her work,” the source continued. “Their relationship is just following different paths. A marriage doesn’t work if you rarely see the other one.”

Kaley Cuoco and Karl Cook started dating in 2016, got engaged in 2017, and married the following year in Southern California. Cuoco was previously married to professional tennis player Ryan Sweeting; they divorced in 2015.

Cook and Cuoco did not live together after their wedding, as the Big Bang Theory star frequently stated in interviews. “We have a very unconventional marriage,” Cuoco admitted in a 2019 interview with E! News. “We have different locations that we are at a lot. We are not together every single day.”

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the couple was “forced” to move in together two years after their wedding. “This quarantine has forced us to actually move in together,” Cuoco said in an April 2020 virtual appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live. “It’s been great for our relationship. And we like each other, we realized, which is even better!”

However, after three years of marriage, the couple has revealed that they are heading in “opposite directions,” despite continuing to “love and respect” each other.

According to their statement, “Despite a deep love and respect for one another, we have realized that our current paths have taken us in opposite directions. We have both shared so much of our journey publicly so while we would prefer to keep this aspect of our personal life private, we wanted to be forthcoming in our truth together. There is no anger or animosity, quite the contrary.”

Their statement continued, “We have made this decision together through an immense amount of respect and consideration for one another and request that you do the same in understanding that we will not be sharing any additional details or commenting further.”

Cook took to social media for the first time since the pair announced their divorce on Tuesday. He admitted that it had been almost a month since he had posted, explaining that he had been “dealing with some stuff.”

Cuoco returned to the NYC set of Meet Cute, the film she’s making with Pete Davidson, over the weekend to film some sequences.

While the cameras were rolling, she was seen walking and holding hands with Davidson. There have been unsubstantiated whispers of a burgeoning romance between the two, especially since Davidson recently split from Phoebe Dynevor after five months together in August.

Kaley Cuoco also removed mention of her soon-to-be ex-husband Karl Cook from her Instagram bio over the weekend. She’s also updated her Instagram with new photographs from the set of The Flight Attendant.
