Kate Middleton is excited to meet her newborn niece Lilibet Diana!
The Duchess of Cambridge was asked about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s daughter during a panel discussion with First Lady Jill Biden.
She revealed that she hasn’t had the chance to meet the little one yet but hopes to do so soon. “We haven’t met her yet. So hopefully that will be soon.”
“I wish her all the very best,” she said. “I can’t wait to meet her.”
Kate hasn’t met Lilibet Diana over video call other, unlike the Queen. As per reports, Her Majesty was one of the first Royal Family members to meet the newborn baby.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle welcomed their daughter on June 4 and announced the happy news two days later.
“On June 4th, we were blessed with the arrival of our daughter, Lili,” the couple said in a statement. “She is more than we could have ever imagined, and we remain grateful for the love and prayers we’ve felt from across the globe.”
“Thank you for your continued kindness and support during this very special time for our family.”
The Royal Family, including Kate Middleton and Prince William, showered the couple with sweet messages on the arrival of their second child.
“We are all delighted by the happy news of the arrival of baby Lili,” the Cambridges wrote alongside a black-and-white photo of Harry, Meghan and Archie.
“Congratulations to Harry, Meghan and Archie.”
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle prepared Archie for his sister’s arrival
Harry and Meghan made sure to prepare Archie, who recently turned two, before the arrival of their daughter.
“They prepared Archie by talking a lot about the baby. He is too little to understand though,” a source told People. A spokesperson for the couple shared Archie “is very happy to have a little sister.”
Meghan and Harry are also taking some time off to focus on their family. They shared the same as they announced their daughter’s birth on their Archewell website.
“While the Duke and Duchess are on parental leave, Archewell will continue to do important work and publish stories on the site,” a brief note towards the end of the announcement read. “We look forward to seeing you!”
As per People, the couple will take 20 weeks off as parental leave, in line with the policy offered to their Archewell employees.
Meanwhile, another source told the entertainment portal that Lilibet Diana’s birth shows “they [Meghan and Harry] are creating roots here in the States.”
