Katherine Langford Wants To Jump Back Into The MCU As Iron Man’s Daughter

She would “love to!”

When the penultimate conclusion of Earth’s mightiest superheroes vs Thanos i.e., the wonder that was Avengers: Endgame was done being shot, the Russo brothers were left with the big decision to snip up away scenes that were halting the flow of the film. And one such scene was actress Katherine Langford starring as an older version of Tony Stark and Pepper Pott’s daughter Morgan Stark, appearing to the dying Iron Man in a vision after he used the Infinity Gauntlet. But turns out, Katherine isn’t at all miffed with scene getting the scissor and is rather wishing to jump back into the MCU!

The 24-year-old actress, who we last saw in Netflix’s reimagined Arthurian adventure series, Cursed, opened up about her coveted role being cut from the theatrical release of Avengers: Endgame on a chat aired on the Australian radio show ‘Smallzy’s Surgery’.

“I feel like if you’re going to be cut from anything, to at least have the experience of being cut from the final Avengers film, it’s not too bad and I think that that experience, just filming was amazing,” Katherine Langford shared with radio host Smallzy.”At least I have the experience and honestly, that I think was one of the coolest things that I’ve ever been able to do so I’m just happy to have the memory.”

In the deleted scene, when Tony Stark a.k.a. Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) snaps Thanos out of existence, he is sent to a different plane where he meets an older version of Morgan “to peace with what he’s just done” as his daughter “tells him everything is gonna be okay and allows him to die.”

But when they sat down for the post-production, the found the scene disrupting the rhythm of Tony Stark’s sacrifice as “we didn’t have a lot of emotional connection” with Katherine Langford in the role.

As for her return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Katherine Langford gave a very shady answer

On being asked if there are any plans cooked by the Russo brothers to make her return to the MCU in the future films, Katherine reflected upon how “the Marvel Universe is very under wraps” and even when she shot that one scene for Avengers: Endgame with Robert Downey Jr., she “was so scared after doing it because I literally couldn’t say anything.” Thus, even if she is indeed coming back to the MCU, she doesn’t “know if I would be able to say anything”, but in any case, she would “love to!” return to the same as Iron Man’s daughter.

For those itching to watch the deleted scene can check it out in the “Extras” for the movie on Disney+!
