Kristen Bell Will Be Joining ‘The Simpsons’ For Their 33rd Season

The Simpsons takes a different turn!

Kristen Bell will be the voice behind The Simpsons’ iconic character ‘Marge’

Kristen Bell will soon be joining ‘The Simpsons’ who are coming back with their 33rd season and this time they will make a memorable entrance. During the recent Comic-Con panel “The Simpsons Season 33 and Beyond” executive producer Matt Selman revealed that The Simpsons will make a return with an all-musical episode. According to Matt, the episode, which is titled “The Star of the Backstage”, will be “the most musical episode we’ve ever done.” The episode will air on September 26 as the season premiere.

Another interesting aspect of this musical episode is that Kristen Bell will be working with The Simpsons for the very first time as the singing voice of Marge, a role which was famously performed by Julie Kavner previously. Talking about the episode, Matt said,” Marge has amazing memories of being the stage manager of her high school musical, ‘Y2K: The Millennium Bug,’ and decides to restage it with everyone 20 years later for one last show,” he continued. “But when her old high school nemesis comes to town, she realizes that her high school memories aren’t what she thought they were.”

When asked about, why Kristen Bell will be behind Marge’s voice in the 33rd season of The Simpsons rather than Julie Kavner, Matt had an interesting reply. “The only place Marge sang beautifully was in her head, so she has a magical inside singing voice that only we can hear,” he added. “When she sings, it comes out beautiful, like Kristen Bell.” Not like Kristen Bell, but actually Kristen Bell. “We all love Marge’s voice [voiced by Julie Kavner], but this is the singing voice that’s different, let’s just say,” he further explained.

They also shared some other stories and turns that the 33rd season will have. “[We’ll have] five segments on this year’s Halloween show for the first time,” executive producer Al Jean said. “We have a romance that may come to stick in Moe’s life, and we explore the greatest tragedy Homer ever faced with guest star Rachel Bloom.” Looks like this season will have a lot more interesting and exciting things than we might have Imagined.

A beautiful weekend

Meanwhile, the new member of The Simpson family is enjoying a mini trip with her family. Kristen Bell and husband  Dax Shepard took their two beautiful daughters, Delta and Lincoln on a road trip this weekend. Bell posted some pictures of Shephard as they stopped at the Dairy-Queen for an ice cream treat. “You see many animals on a road trip, but none as rare as catching the infamous Dad Beast in his natural habitat. We were lucky enough to catch him at feeding time, and even caught a glimpse of him feeding his young!” she captioned it. Later ‘The Good Place’ star also posted some really great pictures of their short trip which definitely makes it look like the family had a good weekend.
