Nearly eight weeks after giving birth to her second child with Travis Scott—a baby boy formerly known as Wolf Webster—Kylie Jenner shared a glimpse of her exercise routine to Instagram Stories of how she is bouncing back postpartum.
Turning to her Instagram Stories on Thursday, the 24-year-old shared a boomerang of herself walking on a treadmill, writing, “Pilates right into cardio. Getting some strength back and it feels so good.”
The update comes almost two weeks after she opened up about the struggles she’s faced since giving birth in early February.
“I just want to say to my postpartum has not been easy. It’s very hard,” Kylie Jenner began before sharing that having two children has been tough on her. “This experience for me, personally, has been a little harder than with my daughter.”
The Kylie Cosmetics founder also said she wanted to express her thoughts for other women, who have just welcomed motherhood, and tell them it is okay to experience postpartum baby blues.
“It hasn’t been easy for me, either,” she reiterated. “It’s been hard, and I just wanted to say that so.”
In another clip, the Kylie Cosmetics founder added: “It’s OK not to be OK“ before adding that she is proud of herself because she “made a whole human — a beautiful healthy boy. We have to stop putting pressure on ourselves to be back, not just physically, mentally after birth,” she added. “Just sending some love. But I’m here, and I’m feeling better,” she added before encouraging other moms, “So, you’ve got this.”
Several mothers took to Reddit, commenting: “I love that she posted this. Normalizing normal bodies.” Another wrote: “That first picture… That’s exactly how my belly looked like one or two months after birth. The fact she posted that is refreshing. I love her for this picture.”
Another user wrote, ‘I respect when people share that because it’s like no amount of money or fame can help you avoid that stuff.’ ‘
A third user wrote: “As a mom of two, one of them being a few months old, it made me feel good too. After my first one, my belly quickly became flat again, but this time around, it’s staying squishy months after giving birth and I sometimes have trouble accepting it. Seeing these kinds of posts on the media just shows that it’s okay, it’s normal, everyone else in the world is not picture perfect, even celebrities like Kylie.”
On another note, Kylie Jenner and partner Travis Scott announced (via Instagram Stories on Monday) that they had changed the name of their son, Wolf, who was born last month.
“FYI our son’s name isn’t Wolf anymore. We just really didn’t feel like it was him. Just wanted to share because I keep seeing Wolf everywhere,” Jenner wrote.
