Maisie Williams went from brunette to blonde for her upcoming series
The ‘Game Of Thrones’ fame Maisie Williams recently surprised her fans with her new dramatic look. On September 1, the 24-year-old actress made an appearance on the red carpet of 2021’s GQ Men of the Year Awards in London in a beautiful new look. Maisie wore a gorgeous long black silk gown with golden embroidery, and one the thing that surprised the world about her look was her platinum blonde hair and brows. The young star decided to go blonde and leave her beautiful brunette look behind.
Maisie Williams opted for this look for her upcoming project as she will next be seen in Danny Boyle’s new TV drama about the punk band the S** Pistols, where she’s playing model Pamela Rooke.
This role was the reason behind her new look and the fans are loving it. The ‘Then Came You’ alum was also joined by various other celebrities dressed in their best attires for the annual event, held at the Tate Modern like Gary Lineker, Emma Corrin, Ed Sheeran, Clara Amfo, Quentin Tarantino, and many more. The event was hosted by actor Idris Elba and his wife Sabrina.
Actress Maisie Williams started her acting career at just the age of 12 from the world-famous TV series, ‘Game Of Thrones’ which continued from 2011-2019. Williams played the role of the youngest Stark sister, Arya Stark, in the series. She was given the role of a Stark daughter along with yet another talented actress, Sophie Turner. The duo who played sisters in GOT have been very close to each other since the beginning. However, a few weeks back, rumors started to grow up that Maisie and Turner have drifted apart. The rumors were later cleared by the young environmentalist who shared a few details about her bond with her ex-co-star.
“We got the role at the same time and we grew up on the show together and it was so amazing to have another person who was going through it at the same time because I think I just would have… it would have been too much otherwise,” Williams shared in an interview. “Being a teenager is hard, then I was also on this show,” she continued. “I never knew who I was but I’ve come out the other side now. I’m not that different to the girl I was trying to be – but I was having a crisis.”
The ‘Cyberbully’ actress will soon be seen in an upcoming series about punk rock band the S** Pistols by Danny Boyle. At the same time, her popular debut series ‘Game Of Thrones’ is getting a prequel, ‘House Of Dragon,’ which is all set to release in 2022. This series will be based on the beginning of the end of House Targaryen, the house that gave us our favorite queen, Daenerys Targaryen, played by actress Emilia Clarke.
