Miley Cyrus “Didn’t Spend Too Much Time Crying” Over Ex Liam Hemsworth

“I would say that there’s a stigma of coldness for a woman who actually, really moves on.”

On November 2 the Wrecking Ball singer was in a conversation with Fredrik Skavlan of the talk show Skalvan virtually where she talked about how much time it took her to move on from her divorce. Miley Cyrus’ divorce from Liam Hemsworth happened in August 2019 after 8 months of marriage. Miley and Liam got married in December 2018, after dating for almost a decade.

Skavlan started the interview quoting a line from her song Midnight Sky and that led to Cyrus talking about her experience in a club after dancing throughout the night. And how a simple selfie led to a song. She also said that the idea of “Forever” committing to something leads to disappointment and how she embraces changes in her life from day-to-day.

She hilariously mentioned that the she didn’t like to sleep very much and how she slept with her eyes open when she was a child. When asked about whether she is ruled by her heart or her head she replied that there is always a battle between the two in her life. As her feelings quite often change.

The singer shared about her feeling after the divorce and how she “didn’t spend too much time crying” over ex Liam. She also shared about her mechanism of coping with the “trauma”. She talked about her secret “tool” to handle the heartbreaks. Not only Miley Cyrus’ divorce was the main agendas she also shared the loss of her grandmother whom she has lost in August 2020. She had also shared an Instagram post for her.

Miley said, “I’ve gone through a lot of kind of trauma and loss in the last couple years. I had a house fire in Malibu, where I lost my house and went through a divorce recently, my grandma who I was super close with, I lost. In a way, I didn’t spend too much time crying over it, and it wasn’t because I was cold or trying to avoid feeling something, but it was just because it wasn’t going to change it. I tried to just continue to be active in what I can control, otherwise you just start feeling like you’re trapped.”

She also said that “dudes[she’s] broken up with” would probably find her to be less emotional as she gets older and they also feel that she is “really drastically” changing her feelings all the time. But she doesn’t feel the same way. She said “I  would say that there’s a stigma of coldness for a woman who actually, really moves on.”

She explained that she is trying to go forward with the mentality that “when one door closes, another opens”. “I heal through traveling and meeting new people. As you lose one person, another person comes into your life,” she added.

Cyrus had recently broken up with Cody Simpson after 10 months of dating. Cody had put up a story about Miley where he had addressed her to be his “best friend”. She had also released her new album Midnight Sky in August 2020 just hours after her breakup.
