The Mandalorian actor Pedro Pascal celebrated the iconic Star Wars Day this week on 4th of May by sharing a hilarious BTS photo.

Star Wars Day, first observed on May 4, 1979, is celebrated every year on the 4th of May by fans to commemorate the long history of the multi-million dollar epic space franchise. The date is a pun, “May The 4th Be With You” is taken from the popular Star Wars catchphrase “May The Force Be With You”

To celebrate the commemorative day celebrated by millions of fans worldwide, Pedro Pascal shared a never-seen-before BTS from The Mandalorian on social media platform Twitter, in which he is wearing the beskar armor that Din Djarin, better known as Mando, wears on the show with his helmet lifted up.

Pedro Pascal plays the role of Din Djarin / Mando in The Mandalorian, a Star Wars spinoff, who is the main character of the series, which took the internet by storm after its release in November 2019. The show’s rise to fame was boosted by the introduction of Baby Yoda-which is the wise, green humanoid alien that is seen in the older Star Wars movies in its first season and the internet was all hyped up about the cute baby version of Yoda.

The Mandalorian is a critical and commercial success, the show was nominated for Outstanding Drama Series at the 72nd Primetime Emmy Awards and has an aggregate score of 93% and an 8+ rating on the IMDb website as of now. According to a Forbes report from December 2019, the show has become the most in-demand series in the world, surpassing big-name titles such as Game of Throne and Stranger Things, just to name a few. Pedro Pascal’s acting as Mando was also praised, earning him a nomination for Best Actor in a Science Fiction/ Fantasy Series at the Critic’s Choice Super Awards.

Pedro Pascal is not the only prominent Star Wars actor who celebrated the iconic day. Actors from the franchise also celebrated Star Wars Day on May 4th, sharing their thoughts on the franchise and the memories they have with it on their respective social media handles.

Mark Hamill, who plays the role of Luke Skywalker- the protagonist of the older Star Wars Movies, posted a picture on Twitter with the caption -“I’m beginning to accept the fact that I’ll probably never do another movie that gets its own day.”
